NABA BeerFest 03: This is actually a blond, but I'll rate it anyways. This had way too much hops for a blond though, it was overlysweet and felt like they outbrewed the small malt body.

Pours a medium brown color. Aromas of light chocolate, hops, and a touch of nut. Flavor has a smooth chocolate/coffee blend with a hint of nut, and a nice hop finish.

A muddy brown color with a med off-white colored head. This has a weak, old coffee taste and lacks a sweetness to balance the bitterness.

loads of chocolate up front, well not really loads but a bit and some really sweet carmel and a light nuttyness. The nose is very sweet overal, a little too sweet. Nice dark dull brown collor that is about the same color as the bottle, with a little bit of burgundy comming through. No head but a substantial lace coating on the glass. Hmm, a bit of carmel, mild hops, a little bit of roast and a lingering nuttyness raps it up. Pretty average body but a nice creamyness.

Maybe its me, but I've never been a huge fan of brown ales. This is no exception either. To me it tasted like slightly roasted malt with over carbinated water added. Nothing special but the name.
