COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Heavily aromatic of fruit esters, citrus and underlying banana custard tones, Aureus is well attenuated with mellow rounded bitterness. Golden with a rocky white head, it’s complex light-medium body and alcoholic strength adds a smooth warming character, which becomes more apparent at room temperature. It unlocks all of its secrets at cellar temperature and can be aged up to two years.

I was interested when a friend of mine told me about this brewery. All I have to say is......WOW! This beer pours golden and slightly cloudy with huge aromatics of banana, briar and stone fruit. Very slight bubble gum. The taste is yeast product dominant with orange citrus tones and a dry finish. The warming alcohol is very well balanced with the bittering, but there isn’t any hops evident in the flavor profile. It’s mostly dominated by the aromas of the yeast and very complex as it ripens with temperature. I am a huge Belgian fan and this beer definetly meets, if not exceeds, the quality beers coming from Belgium...I think it’s better than Delirium Tremens and Duvel. True, I couldn’t drink it all night, but it’s a darn nice way to start the evening.

Nice citrus bite and then the sour grabs you and then builds to an 8 and then bumps up to a 9. Awesome! I can't really detect the vanilla bean, but I'm not disappointed. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On tap @ Draai Laag. Pours a medium yellow with a thin white head. It has a nice citrus aroma. The flavor is crisp and slightly tart from the citrus. Not strong like an IPA but actually quite thin and light. It was OK but not my favorite. I finished it by mixing it with the R2 Koelschip to have a nice citrus flavored wheat beer. Not bad but it could be better. Refreshing.

On tap at whole foods. Lots of citrus and maybe just a tad thin. Dangerous as the alcohol plays little role

750 ml bottle thanks to Dan. Pours a clear golden color with a large white head. A lemony yeasty belgian malt nose. The flavor is big dry fluffy yeast, banana, spices, lemons, zesty, mellow overall. Solid.

750 mL bottle from the brewery. Pours a hazy orange color with a large foamy tan head. Average head retention. Aroma of bread, spice, yeast, dry citrus, herbal notes and a mild tinny note. The taste is stone fruits, yeast, bready malts, bubblegum, lots of spice. Medium bodied, low carbonation, lingering spice.

FROTHINGSLOSH (6197) - GREENSBURG, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 23, 2013
Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a murky yellow-gold color with a medium sized creamy white head that lingered and left a bit of lacing. The aroma was a lovey mix of sweet orange, tangerine and bread dough. The flavor flavor was very strong sweet sugar and tangy candied fruits - mostly pear, peach and orange with a strong yeasty and bready undertone and a hint of vanilla cream. Long finish of sweet and tangy candied fruits and just a touch of alcohol showing through at the edges. Thick body and amazingly creamy. Astounding!
