MrManning (1403), London, Ontario, Canada Apr 13, 2008 Tapped a deep gold liquid with a frothed up, long lived white cap. The nose is quite fruity and shows pear and citrus, leading into spices (clove, corriander) with doughy yeast lingering. Fairly flavourful with its yeasty fruitiness (pear, lemon) and good spiciness. The hops come through ever so slightly towards the finish. Creamy and tasty and overall, enjoyable. Pretty solid. Lubiere (3123), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Mar 12, 2006 Golden ale with a thick creamy white head. Light lemony coriander aroma. In mouth, crisp malt with light coriander notes. A stella/hoegarden hybrid, as expalined by out waitress. Their best offering. On tap at BP on March 11, 2006. CapFlu (3242), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Mar 12, 2006 (Draught) I have to agree with DumDum that this looked mighty "nitro-fed" much to the disagreement of our server. It poured a ultra creamy medium white head with tiny bubbles working up the amber body. Pleasant cirtus aroma with a yeasty and wheaty flavour. Good spice. All in all the best of the selection on tap. Good. beerbuzzmontreal (2660), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 28, 2005 Clear golden pour with a ring of white lace. Aroma of dirty yeast. Flavor of malt and the same despicable dirty yeast. The body has a light to medium thickness with a creamy texture and soft carbonation. A very forgettable experience. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 26, 2005 The Lure: Belgian wit aroma, with some fruity coriander and wheat-like cereal notes. Nice sweetness and spiciness, but this remains easy to approach.
The Festivities: The belgian wit personification is dimmed, taken over by fruity esters and a light bitter hop finish. Some creamy malts dwell within in small quantity. Not quite cream ale, not quite witbier, an intriguing but ultimately uninteresting ale.
Transcendence: Trying to go closer to originality, but coming back unsure.
