Lubiere (3146), Ottawa, Ontario, Canada Mar 12, 2006 Golden ale with a thin white head. Honey aroma with faint hops. Crisp malts in mouth, but not enough malts to sustain the hops this offering. Overall, decent. On tap at BP on March 11, 2006. CapFlu (3247), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Mar 12, 2006 (Draught) Pours a large creamy white head with a deep amber body. Fruity peach malt with a tart hoppy finish. Not terribly complex. Not terribly interesting. beerbuzzmontreal (2674), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 28, 2005 Dark golden pour with a medium white head. First of all, I feel that the hops are pretty weak in this sorry excuse for a pale ale. The aroma and flavor are more dominated by malt, then hints of bland hops show up. After that there is some hops bitterness in the finish. The body is light to medium with a creamy textute. After drinking this I felt way more bitter than the beer. MartinT (4241), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Nov 26, 2005 The Lure: Shy hops and mild fruitiness roam atop the fading lactic character. Pretty bland for a pale ale aroma, and severely lacking aromatic hops.
The Festivities: Fluffy carbonation and a wiry grassy hop flavor don’t unite and feel dirty. Some lactic notes precede the dim hop bitterness. A quirky number this pale ale, not flavorful enough, but they say they are catering to a crowd which needs breaking into. This needs some cleaning up.
Transcendence: Grazing in a sickly patch of lawn.
