COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A sweet still ice cider, available in 375ml bottles. 2009 vintage.
A unique product for the UK, taking the principles of ice-wine production and applying them to apples! Blenheim Orange and Laxtons Superb apples were chosen for their delicate flavour and balance. The juice was frozen and allowed to thaw yielding a terrifically sweet concentrated juice. With spiced apple, orange, apricot and honey on the nose and palate this special cider is perfect partnered with fruity desserts, or with good strong hard cheeses.

Bottle @ Three Counties Cider Shop, Ledbury. A startlingly bright and colourful blend and my first sip of ice cider. Ripe, mushy apple flesh give way to thick, deeply fruity complexities before a smooth honey warmth settles things down. Very interesting, each sip opening up new colours to the palette with a real sharp clarity. Exceptional.

375ml bottle, 2013 Xmas present from Sarah & Jonny. Clear orangey yellow golden colour, no head and sweet syrupy fresh apple aroma. Very sweet apple taste with alittle tartness and buttery, honey & caramel notes. Smooth slightly oily mouthfeel, medium bodied, low carbonation, sweet & dry but clean finish. Lots of complexity in the flavour, very sippable ice cider.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig, 2012, London. Pours clear yellow with a few small bubbles. Plenty of ripe apples in the nose. Big sweet flavor, nicely rounded, not too boozy, some mild spice. Full bodied with soft carbonation. Rich and sweet to finish, thick, lightly chewy, warm apples, subtle honey. Wonderful ice cider. Huge thanks to the fellow who brought this along - apologies for not remembering!

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2012. A clear golden amber colour with no head once poured. Sweet apples, a delicate tang, spice, vanilla & honey. Really sweet but maintains its structure. Doesn’t linger overly so on the palate. Quite crisp & fresh despite the intensity of the sweetness. Drinkable, really almost too much so. Medium body, soft mouthfeel with a modest lingering finish. Fantastic with good complexity.

Bottle sample at Chriso’s pre-GBBF Shindig 2012. Colour is clear deep amber. Nose is intense sweet apple, white sugar, honey. taste is intense sweet juicy fresh apple. Exquisite apple flavour, some sweet sugary light honey. But mainly it’s the apple that hits you. Need to get some more of this.

Bottle @ Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig. The pour’s deep golden with no head. The nose is strong concentrated apples and some spun sugar. THe taste is much the same, plenty of strong sweet apple flavors. Very sweet, but unbelieveably smooth. Quite easy to drink. Medium body, soft carbonation. Overall, this is my first experience with an ice cider. Very interesting, I look forward to trying more!

[ Courtesy of Fin ]. Clear medium yellow orange color with virtually none head. Aroma is moderate to heavy apples, floury apple, red apple, fruity - honey notes. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light light acidic with a long duration, very concentrated apple, dry dry finish. Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat. Lovely ice cider and then only a 7% ice cider. >;O) [20110409]
