2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
At 10% abv you think this could be great it is poor to fair at best. The down side is that the beers have a very cheap taste like not fresh ingredients or something. To sweet and no out standing flavors.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 8/20
Following a recommendation from a friend, I got a bottle of this from a Chinese shop in Ladyville, Belize. 250 ml
Aroma: Burnt sugar, dark fruits, mainly raisin, wine fermentation
Appearance: Coca Cola, dark impenetrable, little to no foam
Taste: Caramel, burnt coffee, tar, alcohol, very very slight vanilla
Palate: acrid and bitter of long duration. Makes me want to scrap my tongue
Glad I tried it and there is definitely a time and place for such a beer, just not everyday.

Bottle from supermarket in Negril. Pours clear dark brown with a medium tan head. Aromas of brown sugar, chocolate and syrup. Flavours of chocolate, alcohol, licorice and brown sugar. Sweet and salty aftertaste. OK.

2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Thanks to my sister for bringing this back from her holiday.
Pours a black beer with a small beige head.
Smells sweet, hints of candy sugar. No burnt/roasted hints.
Tastes as sweet as the nose suggests.
Not a real stout but rather a quad.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
250ml bottle / 10% / BB dated April 2015 / Purchased and consumed in Jamaica.
Sweeter than the regular Dragon Stout, this inferior stout is rather boozy and too sweet. Lingering boozy aftertaste with molasses and brown bread.
O: definitely drinkable but a bit too sweet and with high ABV that is just too obvious.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle shared by alexsdad06. Poured a clear brown color with an average frothy brown head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate roasted chocolate aroma. Medium dark sweet toasted malt flavor with a medium dark sweet finish of moderate duration. Medium body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. This is a soft sweet beer.

2.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
250ml bottle. Thanks to alexsdad06 for sharing. Very dark brown, slight red color. Appears near-black. Thin bubbly khaki head. Dots and bits of lace. Dark fruit, burnt sugar aroma. Kind of vinous. Some dark chocolate. Moderate sweet taste. Light bitterness. Alcohol reasonably well hidden, but pretty sweet. Could use some bitter balance to it, almost no bitterness. Medium to bigger body, a little thin and watery though. Very light carbonation. Not crazy about this one.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
250 ml bottle originally shared by drsordr. Pours dark cola brown with a thin beige head. The aroma and flavor have some roasted malt, bigger dark fruity character, prunes, sweet, no real sign of the abv but sweet and syrupy. I always enjoy ticking 10% beer, but this is not something I would revisit. Probably a better option than many others on the islands.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
(bottle - 250 ml) Dark brown pour with a thin tan head. Lightly roasted malt aroma with a big hit of dark fruits near the end. Flavor is light roast and lots of wine and plum/prune flavors with a mild sweetness at the end. Very lightly bitter. Definitely doesn’t drink like 10%.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle enjoyed while in the Cayman Islands. Assume its the same beer, as previous post noted, the word XXTRA replaced Spitfire on the label, but everything else the same. Pours opaque black with very thin head. Nose light roasted malt, and sweet dark fruit. Mild mineral. Taste mostly sweet. Almost apple flavor. Then the light roast comes through. More mineral in the finish. 10% ABV hidden pretty well. Not as much roast, chocolate flavors as I like, but still not a bad Caribbean beer.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle enjoyed in a bar in the port area of St. John’s, Antigua. Label is Dragon Stout XXTRA but other than the word ’xxtra’ replacing ’spitfire’ on the label, the label is other wise identical as is the beer style, 10% ABV and 250ml bottle size so this appears to be one and the same beer. Poured a deep dark brown color with a small tan colour head. Aroma of roasted chocolcate, nutty caramel, molasses, dark fruit and alcohol to match its ABV. Quite sweet, oily texture, medium body, minimal carbonation. One of the best beers sampled during two Caribbean holiday’s.
