9.6 ounce bottle into tulip glass, bottled on 10/30/2015. Pours clear nearly opaque dark brown/black color with a 1 finger fairly dense and fluffy tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin lace cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings around the glass. Aromas of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted brown bread, caramel, brown sugar, and herbal; with light nuttiness, licorice, raisin, plum, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted brown bread, caramel, brown sugar, and herbal; with light nuttiness, licorice, raisin, plum, pepper, and yeast/toasted earthiness. Light-moderate herbal/roast bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toasted brown bread, caramel, brown sugar, dark fruits, and herbal/toasted earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Nice complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light-moderate dryness from roast/hop bitterness as well. Medium carbonation and body; with a very smooth, fairly creamy/grainy, and lightly sticky/chalky balanced mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice Tropical-styled Foreign stout. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt and light-moderate earthy hop/fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth and easy to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

Pours deep inpenetratable brown color with thick and strong cocoa foam. Aromas are bit confusing, bit sour, reminds of champagne or wine? Bit vinigary although has very subtile coffee smell. Palate, medium body with thin texture leaving sour aftertaste? Taste is sour, vinigary bit like wine. Overall, not sure if it was infected? I hope so, otherwise it is awful beer that would seem like they just shover truck load of sugar to increase alcohol % to 7.5% although it tastes like 4% just sweet sour and awful.

Roasted malt with a hint of dark fruit aroma. Black as night body with a tan head. Roasted malt taste. Not much bitterness. Hints of raisin or other fruit give it a palatable smoothness. Syrup thick body. Really on the fence on this one.

Very creamy unsubstantial head with a solid black body. Aroma of sweet treacle and raisins. Rather pleasant sweet taste of caramel and fruitcake with an undertone of the strong alcohol.

300ml bottle poured into a pint glass. Very dark with a brown foamy head, that looks delicious . Has a coffee and malt aroma. Sweet taste with a dry finish. Expected it to be thicker but was pretty thin. Good beer.

Thanks heavy for bringing this from Vienna, shared with him and ogivlado. Off white head, blackish dark brown/amber body. Heavy aroma (heh), raisins, aged wine, sweet, with a touch of sourness, solid caramel. Interesting. Mild taste comparatively, light coffee, raisins, creamy, actually tasty, maybe wouldn’t work in the head if it wasn’t. Dunno, it’s OK enough. Not thrilling, not flawed. Yay!

Bottle at home courtesy of FLBH and a trip to Barbados. Pours black with a tan head. Little bit of coffee and chocolate on the aroma. Taste is a real sweet hit, definitely get the booze and a hint of chocolate right at the end. Carbonation is OK. Not that great really.
