A stout from Jamaica. This I had to try. although it did not have the body, the flavor was quite nice. It had nice stout like notes of coffee and molasses.

This is a really sweet stout. Pure malt characteristics. Caramelly, mild cherry, prune, grape flavour. Pure opaque black in color. Not much nose and very little head. It really doesn’t taste like a 7% beer but not sure if I could drink 2 in a row. This one is okay. Cheers!

Pourss a dark brown color, with 2 finger head. Roasted malt flavor. Hints of caramel, and not a lot of hopiness. Medium bodied that finishes kind of sweet. Best Jamacian beer had so far.

[186-20070114] 300mL. Smells like straw and light fermentation, a little malted, a little medicinal. Black brown body with a big medium-lasting foamy light brown head. Medicine and malty flavour, medium sweetness and a little burnt, then bitter after and leaves a funny taste. Medium body, good mouthfeel. Everything comes together in a nice way but the flavour is wanting.

Pours dark into a shaker. Tan micro head quickly recedes. Slightly sour, vinuous caramel.

(Bottle 28,4 cl) Clear reddish brown with a rough, beige head. Sweet aroma of roasted malts and alcohol. Medium body, sugar sweet malts and molasses, alcohol and a metallic edge + and odd, fusty flaw. Surprisingly some bitterness shows in the finish. This won’t get me hooked. 090207

Very deep dark colour, but smells of malts and sweet stuff (almost yogurt-like??), surprising given it’s look. Flavour is malty and sweet with a hint of molasses. Strong in alcohol content and has a bit of bite. Quite nice for a stout (I don’t usually like these types of beer).
