Dark brown, dark tan head with huge cavity creating gas bubbles. Aroma is a light metallic, roasty, anise. Taste is sweet, licorice, chocolate, kinda metallic and thin. I notice there’s corn syrup in the ingredient list...why?

Appearance: black with a smooth, almost velveteen pour. Khaki head is puffy, eventually fading into a thin film marked by scattered tiny bubbles. Swirls with lace and more puff.
Nose: reaches me before I reach it. Roasted and sweet with a definite creamy lactic quality. Plums, raisins, vanilla bean, and whole milk. Licorice root in the back and underneath melts into cream, whole milk, and moist dark fruits. Burnt sugars along the edge with maple and caramel. Caramel apple skins. Love the explosion of aromas with each swirl. Cinnamon and a dash of brown sugar.
Palate: smooth and creamy just as promised. Nice milky lactic quality in the middle while there is a kick of tartness in the back, brief but bold. Raisins, grapes, and plums; the first offering meaty sweetness while the latter two offer sweetness followed by tartness and bitterness from the skins. Black licorice, chewy. Black breads are seemingly moist, creamy, almost liquefied, melting into cream and milk. Raisins bob along the top. Underneath fig newtons soak it all in.
Final Thoughts: not quite sure why this beer doesn’t do better online, but my tastebuds are my own and wow. Yum-my. Style wise, quite creamy, milky, and rich, reminding me of the old-style Baltic porters and polish stouts, now porters.

Bottle. Not had much experience with this style but comparing it to reg. stouts is was very good. Slightly sweet but not as sweet as one would think. Nice dark malt flavors. Small head and slight lace. Nice dark color.

9.6oz bottle pours a black beer with a slight white head. Aroma is somewhat sweet with deep rich roasted malts and a very unique aroma. Flavor is mild but very pleasing. A mild stout but that nakes this a dark beer that most can enjoy.

Sharp, banana aroma with hints of vanilla; not very pleasant. Very dark color that shines red and clear if held to light. Minimal off-white head. Taste is mostly sweet with hints of sourness. Slick texture for a light-medium body, with a very astringent finish. Absolutely dead in terms of carbonation. Credit for the warm feeling it gives. A dragon would be ashamed to be associated with this beer.

Very dark stout, strong alcohol taste, a grower but nothing sensational. An amateurish stout with a lack of maturation.

500ml bottle sample. Pours a midnight black with a very small tan head. Aroma is of caramelized malts and brown sugar. Taste is of malt and coffee.

Pours a dark brown color with a tan head. Aroma is pretty sweet with a very light roasted aroma with some caramel. Flavor is light of roasted malts, chocolate, molasses, and caramel malts.
