Not an amazing drink but gives a chow mein or jerk pork/chicken a real kick when used in cooking!

Pours dark brown with a brown head. Aroma of cola, green apples and chocolate. Taste is lightly bitter and moderately sweet

Bottle pour into nonic pint glass from Manchester Wine & Liquors. Appearance is dark brown/mahogany--almost opaque black, with finger-width brown head with fair retention, mild lacing. Aroma is roasted malt with good amounts of dark fruit and some chocolate. Taste is moderately sweet roasted malts with some dark fruit character. Palate is medium bodied with average texture, surprisingly lively carbonation and somewhat sweet but dry finish. Overall, aroma is the most intriguing thing about the beer but it is pretty straightforward and OK. Not always the greatest fan of adjuncts, and corn syrup is not one Iím keen on seeing a lot more of.

Aroma of sweet cola, appearance slightly thin brown colour, fast dissappearing brown head, taste is sweet yet oddly sour at the same time, not like a proper stout at all, way too thin for the style. Sugar, molasses dominate the palate leaving a watered down sweetness in the aftertaste. Horrid!

A fairly unique tasting stout. Has the malt flavours you get with Jamaican malt drinks such as: Supermalt. Flavours are of blackcurrant, cocoa, coffee, burnt sugar and some sort of herbal medicinal flavour (think Jagermeister). I would try it again. Price paid: £1

Bottle at home, 01/07/16. Bought at Tesco, Byfleet. Distinctive aroma - cough syrup is the first thing that comes to mind. Chocolate and liquorice. A think body, with carbonation on the tongue. Much sweeter than I was expecting, with a light bitter aftertaste. It reminds me of kotikalja, the homemade non-alcoholic beer from Finland. Just with that alcohol kick. Far too sweet and donít particularly enjoy the sensation from the palate.

A very dark beer with a light head. Smell is that of a bitter Stout, not very particularly but almost caramel or molasses. Taste is bitter and pleasant at first, but then quickly becomes overly sweet and almost unnatural. The texture is again poor, flat, watery and not smooth or creamy in particular. Tastes slightly coffee ish, flavours of burnt caramel or molasses but too sweet and not particularly pleasant. Not for me.

Jan. í16. A 0.284 l bottle from Prosi Exotic supermarket, Vienna. My first Jamaican beer. It poured a very dark brown body with a small brown head. Dry woody aroma, caramel and čokolino (cereal-chocolate instant mix for kids). Roasted malt flavor, lightly sweet but also dry, herbal and woody. Coffee, licorice, cocoa, dark fruits, brown sugar and weak maple syrup. A bit alcoholic, especially in the finish which was more sweet, sugary-cocoa-cappuccino. Smooth on palate and medium bodied. Okay, expected less.

UPDATED: JUN 10, 2016 I thought this was actually quite alright, but I?m probably a pleb who doesn?t use pretentious enough language in my reviews. Had this chilled like a pleb because it was a hot day, might have made a difference.

284 mL bottle shared by ebone1988. Fucking book. What a weird size. The pour is a lighter black, dark brown color with some translucency to it and and but of a ruby hue. There is a really bubbly collar of light khaki head and a few spotty chunks of lace. The aroma is really sweet. There is a lot of dark malts and a sweetness to it. It might have a light chocolate, but itís really reserved. This isnít that great. I donít have high hopes. The flavor is a sugary dark sweetness that doesnít offer much. Itís light and watery with no lingering flavor of any value. The mouth feel is terrible. Dark sweet malts and water. Ugh. Itís thin and watery with minimal carbonation and a sweet sugary finish. This sucks.
