a moderately respectable brew that has moderate sugary tastes and a metallic tang enhanced by a nicely strongish alcohol quotient. the metal is from the hop character which is not of a particularly noticeable profile. it does hint at some dark and stewed fruits and a note or two of mainly a liquid smoke splash or 2. body and palate are acceptable (again moderate), refreshing and somewhat substantial. not a mistake at all. this sweet number has a niche to fit in to and would be welcome under certain circumstances.

Aug 23, 2008 Bottle; Pours out very deep black with a beige head that stays around the edges throughout. Aroma is sweet sugarcane with hints of caramel and chocolate and an overwhelming aclohol presence. I’m not quite sure I’ve ever had a stout that was this sweet and I’m not quite sure what to think about the flavor. Palate is medium bodied and finishes short. Overall, I like the 7.5% alcohol but doubt I will buy again.

Aug 21, 2008 Pours a thick dark brownish black colour with a decent sized tan head. Aroma is chocolatey, nutty, coffee and hints of alcohol. Taste is creamy pleasent and perfect on this 100% humid day in Belize :)

Aug 17, 2008 (JAMAICA) Courtesy of AFI96, thanks Waylo !! Pours a sweet black color with a thin dissipating head. The aroma is of caramel, dark malts, and a hint of vanilla. The taste is of chocolate, lite coffee creamer, and malts. The mouthfeel is a bit weak for a stout, but very drinkable. Also the 7.5% is well hidden !!!

Aug 17, 2008 Bottle at Stouts NYC. Black pour with almost no head to speak of. Has a little roasted aroma with some dark fruit notes present. Has a decent flavor, roasted, bitter and a noticeably fruity raisin like essence. Not bad.

Aug 15, 2008 Bottle. High creamy and lasting white head. Very dark brown almost black body. Coffee cocoa aroma with a touch of vanilla. Coffee cream flavor with a bit of bittness in the background. Low carbonation. Long aftertaste.
