COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Grand Crus are traditionally known as "The best beer that a brewery makes." This Belgian-style quad lives up to that name and then some. Available once a year, in May to celebrate our Anniversary.

Very hazy amber brown beer. Low carbonation, dry palate. Dry and lightly spicy malt with some bubblegum sweetness. Flavoursome - pulls together well albeit with the obvious aniseed. Also a little butterscotch caramel in there. Somewhat let down by an over dry finish.

Tasted in 2009. Amber in color with a small off-white head. Aroma is of brown sugar, caramel and candy sugar. Taste is of honey, caramel, candy sugar and booze.

Bottle. Pours a slightly hazy golden color with a small white head. The nose is sweet, bubble gum, caramel with ripe fruits. The flavor is more sweetness; candi sugar, bubble gum, caramel and ripe fruits. This is not very complex with everything tending to add to the sweetness.

Clear medium amber orange colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, toasted, caramel, ripped fruit, dried fruit. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110918]
