On tap at Dragonmead Brewery. Very encouraging smoky aroma. Pours relatively dark. Has a smoky taste, but is somewhat of a letdown as its not very full bodied and seems a bit watered down.

Tap at Dragonmead. Pale amber pour. The nose is really nicely smokey. A little bit of light saltiness with a fairly clean malt character. The beer is moderately smokey flavoured with an insistent smoked character on the back of the palate as well. Fairly clean if a little bit sweet. Quite carbonic tasting but the beer is pretty decent really.

Tap @ Dragonmead - arouma is grilled bbq and bacon. Caramel and toffee base. Lots of woody smoke, not much hops. They actually do this one decently.

Bottle. Pours orange with no head. Lots of smoky bacon toasted aromas that are strong and really nice. Light toasted malt flavors that are smokey earthy. This comes together pretty well. Solid beer. 9/3/8/4/15

The aroma was awesome, smoky like lapsang souchong tea. This beer kind of lacked everywhere else, would have been great with a heartier flavor.

On tap at the brewery. Pours a clear dark brown with a white head. Aroma of smoked meat and peat. Flavor of salty, smoked meats although it gets sweeter as you progress through the glass. A pretty decent smoked but certainly on the sweet side.

Sweet smoky nose, with light toffee, cherry/berry and raisin. Moderately sweet, smoky, lightly bitter. Some cherry fruit juice and caramel round it out. Medium body is soft with moderate carbonation.

Thanks to IBre2or3 for sharing this one. Pours hazy yellow-brown with a white head. Nose is band-aid, campfire, malt, and some occasional sweetness looking to cut through. Flavor is very similar with lots of smoky, band-aid, rubbery type flavors that meld and do not have very much appeal for me.

Big thanks to my sister Lori for sending down a growler of this. My sister ROCKS! Pours out amber with gold edges and full tan head. The aroma has malts, chocolate, bacon and a light dash of bandaid. The taste has modest levels of malt and a bit of chocolate here and there. Midway the smoke shows up as the beer thins out creating an earthy – bacony – slightly rubbery bandiad-y mélange of flavor notes. It is a decent enough beer and the smoke certainly doesn’t overwhelm (for most I’m guessing that’s a good thing).
