BlackForestCO (549), Fort Collins and Black Forest, Colorado, USA Aug 12, 2008 Bottle from miketd, thanks man! Poured a deep reddish-amber color with a thick, almost creamy off-white head that stuck around for quite a while. Light biscuity malt on the nose with some spicy floral hops and some light citrus fruit. Lightly bready malt on the entry with some spicy undertones and a light caramel sweetness transitions into a moderately earthy, floral hop finish. Nice mouthfeel and carbonation. A nice tasting beer, but it doesn’t seem to fit the IPA category. Solid effort. Jwasciuk (181), Greenville, Michigan, USA Jul 19, 2008 Pours hazy medium amber with a small white head. Aroma is lightly malty of dark bread and cookies, moderatly hoppy of flowers and grapefruit, lightly yeasty. Flavor starts lightly sweet and moderatly to heavly bitter nice malt back bone with a bit of carmel Finishes moe bitter nice mellow hop character. Medium bodied, cream an lively.
