COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The finest imported English Mild Ale Malt along with Crystal and Chocolate malts combine with true English hops to create an English style treat. A deep copper color pleases the eyes while fine malts and Fuggles hops please the palate.

Cask at Graydon’s Crossing, Grand Rapids. Murky red-orange-brown body, thin creamy head. Nose primarily of bready yeast with hints of raisin. Body soft, creamy with toast, grapes, and hints of raisin. Thin woody finish. Unusual; complex but scattered.

Poured up via nitro tap at the Dragonmead brewpub with clear amber body and firm tan head. The aroma has notes of sweet malts, spiciness and earthiness that don’t really come together too well. The taste is smooth and mild with a mix of sweet malts and roasted malts and finishing with a sense of citrus hops and faint earthiness. For being so mild in flavor this Mild is pretty tasty.

Tap at Dragonmead. Nitro head on a dark amber pour. The nose is light and a little bit earthy. Soft and slightly fruity. The palate is quite dead (I blame the nitro) but the beer seems to be reasonably well-made. Bland and a little bit earthy. It’s okay, but it could be a lot better.

Tap @ Dragonmead - dark brown pour. cotton candy and skittles and toffee with dry hop-resembling flavors.

Nitro… RBSG 2010… Mostly clear, dark ruby ale with an orange tint and a mid-sized, creamy, off-white head. Fantastic retention. The subdued aroma presents chocolate as its standout feature. Medium-bodied and uber creamy with pillow-soft carbonation. The flavor is of sweet tea biscuit and caramel with hints of chocolate and coffee. Very low bitterness. Lengthy fading sweetness with a touch of bitterness on the back and sides of the tongue.

On nitro tap at the brewery. Pours a dark brown with a thick tan head. Aroma of chocolate malt, roasted malt, and a touch of sourness (?). Flavor of sweet malt, roasted chocolate malt, with a light palate. Decent mild I guess although I didn’t much care for it. 6/4/5/3/11 [2.9/5]

On tap at Dragonmead. Pours a nice dark brown with large foamy head. Aroma is not strong, but is evident with chocolate and fresh nuts. Taste is exactly what it aimed for, mild.

On tap at the brewery. This was very interesting. Dark brown pour with a big fluffy head and not much of an aroma. The flavor is slightly watery and a hint of nuttiness. The would be the ultimate session beer! This would be huge if it were bottled

hopdog (7043) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - JAN 3, 2009
On tap at the Dragonmead Brew Pub. Poured a medium amber color with a smaller sized off white head. Aromas of some chocolate and lightly roasty. Tastes of chocolate, nutty, and lighter caramel. Not bad for a mild ale...
