4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 weeare138 (936) - Collegeville, USA - DEC 2, 2005
Appears a light amber/gold with off white head and tons of lacing.
Smell is of raisins and prunes and toasty malts with some tropical fruit, caramel, and raw dough...Belgian bliss!
Taste is of the same aromas.
Mouthfeel is sweet, not cloying with yeasty fruit roughing up the brew for a true Belgian style.
...Side note: Had a week old growler of this after the draft at the brewery and it didn’t do the beer justice until I got to the bottom portion.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 jimmack34 (632) - Lancaster, Ohio, USA - MAR 15, 2009
On tap at Dragonmead 3-13-09. Smelled and tasted just like a lighter version the dubbel. Light fruits, syrupy, and a little too sweet.
3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 nefarious (220) - Waterford, Michigan, USA - FEB 7, 2009
On tap at the brewery. Belgian yeast aroma of cloves and sweetness. Dark amber red pour with no head. Much of the same with the flavor, bannana’s cloves and ripe fruits. But a slight tart finish. Not bad. its very smooth as well, I liked this more than I thought I would.

Sampled from a growler @ DLD 4/28/07. Poured a clear golden color with a small eggshell head. Aroma is fruity and malty. The flavor has sweet malt, fruit, and spices. This wassomewhat interesting. Light mouthfeel. The alcohol (8%) is well hidden.
3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 decaturstevo (3669) - decatur, Tennessee, USA - JUL 4, 2007
Parking lot of FFF’s on DL day from a growler. A nice golden pour with a light off white gooy lace. An aroma of Belgian yeast kinda corrianderish. A nice maltiness that lends to the overall complexity of this beer. A hint of bitter on the finish. I’m surprised to see that it was 8%.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 drfabulous (2286) - Lexington, Kentucky, USA - JUL 1, 2007
A light, golden Belgian style. The description says "white," but I’m not sure if I would call it a white. A light Belgian is about the best you can call this nice beer.
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20 shigadeyo (2399) - Harrison, Ohio, USA - MAY 29, 2007
Date: 4/28/2007
Event: DarkLord Day 2007
Location: Three Floyds Brewing Co. Parking Lot
Serving: Sampled from a growler.
Tasting Notes
Aroma: Malty, fruity, and some vinegar (vineous might be a better way to describe it).
Appearance: Clear gold color.
Flavor: Sugary malts, fruity, some delicate spice.
Palate: Pretty light.
Overall: Somewhat typcial for a Belgian-style beer, but I would probably classify this one as a Belgian Golden Ale rather than an Abbey Dubbel...
