Commercial Description:
This is the ultimate Belgian style. The very high gravity of this beer is balanced by the smoothness of its finish. Banana and Clove aromas come from the Belgian yeast strain combining with the generous dose of Belgian Candi Sugar. The Saaz hops help to give this beer a balanced bitterness with no noticeable hop aroma.

A good, but not great trippel. The body of this is great - not too heavy, but carrying both the spice and alcohol punch. When I have had this at the brewery, it is far better (fresher?) than at beer bars that I have sampled. If you get the chance to go, hit Dragonmead in Warren, near the top of my "All Time Beer Dive Joints".

12oz bonus from masonjer. Pours orangy yellow with a tan head. Nose is sweet with citrus notes. Taste is sweet, yeasty, citrussy and highly carbonated. Overall a very enjoyable and not alcohol hidden trip.

Not much to speak of by looking at it (grit-hazed caramel-colored body under a wisp of a head), but BOY the power that comes out in the aroma! Fruity esters boil down to recognizable overripe banana, apples, pears, grapes (fruit cocktail) with caramel backing. Flavor is tart and tangy (or is that saying the same thing?), a little thin-bodied to carry what I expected to be more lush, fruity flavors. Fruity sourness in an alcoholic finish with light grapeskin astringency. Tasty and mind-altering, but I’d sooner grab a Sapient if I was seeking out a Michigan-brewed Tripel.

I think I remember stealing this bottle out of some selections that ElBorracho brought to a Fais Do Do last year. Thanks Scott!

Golden color with a small white head. Dense head. No lacing. Tropical fruit aroma. Smells sweet. I pick up pineapple, orange, and cantaloupe. Not as fizzy as I’d like it to be but still pretty lively mouthfeel. Solid beer.

Bottle. Pours a cloudy orange with a huge head that leaves quickly and stays as a nice thin blanket. Smell is bananna bread. yeast, and zest. Taste is very nice... it’s almost like bananna bread beer to be honest. I think that is the only way that I can discribe the taste of this beer. Mouthfeel is a bit thin without enough carbontaion. That aside I really like this beer and would definitely recommend it.

On tap. Very different smell and taste. Sweet smell give itself to a bubble gum taste. Tangy alcohol presence. Complex which is different from the usual straight laced triples.
