3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 MereLikesBeer (195) - Royal Oak, USA - JUL 11, 2009
I had this on tap at the brewery. It poured a golden yellow color with a white head. Aroma was quite bready, a bit spicy, and mild fruits. It was sort of sweet and was yeasty. It had a great mouthfeel, not thick, but still sort of heavy. I like it overall, but would want to try something a bit stronger perhaps.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20 hopdog (7043) - Lansdale, Pennsylvania, USA - OCT 7, 2007
Growler filled 3 days prior. Poured a medium to deeper golden color with a small sized white head. Aromas of spices, ligthly fruity, citrus and yeast. Tastes of citrus, lemons, spices, lightly fruity, and yeast. With the low Alcohol content (the full body and mouthful didn’t give this away!), this would make a decent session beer.

Pours a translucent golden with a very small bubbly white head. Aroma of honey, mixed citrus, tea, malty sweet grains and some yeast. Flavor of honey, malty sweet grains, some Belgian yeast and light spicing.
3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 detroiter (958) - Euphoria, Minnesota, USA - JAN 15, 2007
Pours a hazy golden color, with a thin cap of white foam. Scant lacing. Yeasty fruity spicy aroma is nice indeed.
To me this beer is somewhere between a hefe and a Belgian, but leaning more heavily towards the Belgian. Soft bready wheat and banana flavors up front, finishes a bit dry with coriander and a delicate floral hops.
Body on the light side, very softly carbonated.

I rate beers here in spurts. When I have the desire. When I’m not too bored by the other ratings and their super want to be like wine tasters ratings.
So here’s the deal: A nice Belgian style from Detroit-Metro’s best.

Tap: light orange with no head. A little foot in the nose. A weird taste. Just a little orange with clove?
2.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 Pailhead (3436) - Plymouth, Michigan, USA - NOV 29, 2004
On tap: Strong citrus and Belgian aroma almost lemon scented cleaner. Slight hazy orangish-yellow with a insignificant white head. Not much up front with a lemon grassy finish. Wasn’t real pleasant for me.
