A sweet honey ale that is honey colored. The taste is a little too similar to final absolution.

Draft - Light hops and hay and some spice. Cloudy gold with almost no head. Herbal, sweet pale malts and a bit of sweet yeasty notes.

UPDATED: NOV 22, 2013 Rich golden color. Not too cloying. A sweetness that complements the overall "beer" taste of the beer. **RERATE: Was I crazy? This beer is fantastic. Maybe the recipe was tweaked slightly? Wonderful balance of honey and Belgian yeast. Goes down almost too smooth for an abv of 10%.

Beautiful golden color. Light aroma. Not too sweet honey taste. Excellent beer overall.

Small growler shared by beerpig317. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. The aroma and flavor have sweet honey, floral, banana, light herbal notes and Belgian yeast. The alcohol remains well hidden.

Shared by Beerpig317. Poured clear amber color with an average fizzy white head that lasted with good lacing. Complex citrus honey and yeast aroma. Medium to abundant body with a smooth texture and flat carbonation. Medium to heavy citrus sweet flavor with a medium to heavy sweet finish of moderate to long duration with a small alcohol bite. This is a refreshing good beer.

Half-growler shared by Beerpig317. Thanks again! Pours a cloudy, pale bright gold with a small white head. Aroma of honey, grapes, sugar, and sweet malts. Between the brewer and the honey here, people were fooled into thinking this was an actual mead at first (not me). Flavor hits the same notes. Medium-bodied, with a sweet, malty, fruity mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. Sweet tripel that leans in the direction of a mead.

32oz growler, shared by beerpig317. Going into this, I thought it was a carbonated mead. Clear golden color. Minimal off-white head. Couple bits of lace. Citrusy lemony honey blossom, floral nose. Medium body. Smooth, softer, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Good balanced honey and floral flavors. Some light hop. Good balance of light to moderate bitter and moderate sweet. Good stuff.

Growler to snifter (shared by BeerPig317). Looks solid; a transparent golden orange with white lacing. Smells sweet, spicy, ,and yeasty. Tastes like it smells with a touch of clove and a solid mouthfeel. Okay, but underwhelming.

No clue how to rate mead. I taste honey and fruit. So so, mead isn't really my thing. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Surprisingly similar to the final absolution; I actually preferred it as it had less clove and less yeast. Cloudy honey gold in appearance. Less sweet, less allspice, and a better body with low viscosity despite appearance. Active, refreshing carbonation in the mouthfeel. Pretty nice.
