Draft… RBSG 2010… Hazy, deep, dark, ruby ale with burnt orange highlights and a small, creamy, off-white head. The aroma displays a clove-like Belgian phenol, caramel, a banana ester, dark fruits and candy sugar. Full-bodied and oily with modest carbonation. Sweet, spicy flavor – dark candy sugar and clove - with moderate tannic bitterness. Finishes bittersweet (more sweet than bitter) with fading essences of banana and chocolate.

Small foamy fine dark brown long lasting opaque black brown no visible carbonation. Tingly start to finish. Plum dark malt mild roasted hop flavor. Mild brown malt aroma. Well hidden abv.

Draft sample. Poured a clear brown color with an average fizzy off-white head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate complex aroma. Medium body with a smooth texture and soft carbonation. Medium soft sweet flavor with a medium sweet finish of moderate duration. This is a soft sweet beer.

(beer tasting @ Monty’s Krown - Rochester, NY: Growler) Ruby pour with a very light foam and carbonation. Dark and sweet fruity aroma with some light hints of caramel and subtle alcohol notes. Sweet and caramelly at the start of the flavor with a bready malt middle and a lightly yeasty finish. Sweet and warming finish and aftertaste.

Draft sample at the Michigan Brewers Guild Fall Fest. Reddish brown with thin tan head. Aroma of dark fruits, bread, and sweet malt. Taste was sweet, with medium mouthfeel, but was a bit thin and watery. Not a bad effort.

Half gallon growler courtesy of my little sister Lori! Thanks again. Pours clear ruby mahogany with thin white head. The aroma is sweet apple, sugary grapes, some beats, ripe rich plums and some yeast. The taste is nice and sweet with red apples, dates, plums, sugar soaked raisins, some beat sugar and a mild level of spicy yeastiness. Nice offering.
