This beer starts at a relatively low gravity, and thus finishes with a low alcohol content (about 4.8%). Make no mistake though, it is by no means a light beer. It is rich with roasted malt, bittersweet chocolate, and a touch of herbal hop flavors. It is made from a blend North American and British base malts with rolled oats, chocolate, brown and caramel malts. We finish it with a great big dose of earthy American hops (Sterling, Willamette, and Northern Brewer). 11.5°

Draught pint. Brown-mahogany color, good lacing. I agree with the description for the most part, except I couldn’t taste much hops in it - it’s kind of like newcastle, but better. Pretty freaking good, quality session.

Tap. Pours clear chestnut, small creamy beige head, great lacing. Aroma is roasty, a bit Bready, hints of tobacco. Flavor is light sweet, very light bitter, roasty, Bready. Light plus body. Simple but satisfying

(En fût au Tap & Bottle Tucson): Le corps est définitivement touffu, les malts profondément enracinés et des fleurs tourbillonnent et labourre la terre. Beau et bon.

On tap at The Perch Pub & Brewery. Dark brown and clear appearance with a lacy tan head. Mild earthy/herbal bitterness and light malty sweetness. Notes of light toffee, roast, caramel malts and light chocolate. A light and malty, smooth session ale

Burnt orange, with good clarity and a feathery tan head. Good retention. Malty aroma: caramel, apples, wort/uncooked grain, hamster cage. Flavor is light, dry and nutty, with peanut skins, apple and wort. Light, watery body, clean finish. It is what it purports to be: a very mild brown ale.

One of the better brown ales I've had. Unusual in its hint of chocolate, which nonetheless is quite good. I wouldn't mind the flavor and ABV being notched up one or two pegs tho. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

On draft at Boulders on Broadway. Dark brown/red pour. Very subdued aroma, but fantastic taste of biscuity malts. Pretty tasty low abv option. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours a brown/red color with off white head. Aromas of the wife’s fresh backed biscuits/bread with some roast and bitterness. Flavors of much of the same. Not a bad beer, but not my favorite.

Chestnut color with nice brown/mahogany edges. Decent aroma lightly biscuit and a bit of sweetness. Flavor lightly sweet up front with a breast finish. Really nice for tue style.

Some light roasty coffee in the aroma. This pretty much tastes like a nut brown to me with some hints of coffee, all things I’m not too fond of. A nice red-brown appearance. Drinkable but not my style.
