A nice pale ale. This is what I would expect from a local pale with a citrus and spice aroma to a well rounded finish. Good hop flavor with a sweet and smooth body. Very sessionable.

Pours a finger and a half of head on a hazy straw colored body.
The aroma is a burst of lemon, pine and grapefruit with a little pineapple.
The taste has great balance. Nice moderate grapefruit bitterness mixed with honey sweet, finishes with a dry bitter.
The texture is crisp and fizzy.

Very citrusy aroma, and long length. On the bitter side, but with good balance. Pretty in the glass.

"Nice use of hops here. I’d buy this 6-pack more often if they dated, but you can’t trust the age of brews where this is available. Too bad - it’s a nicely floral and citrusy hop driven pale ale. Well above average for the style when anywhere near fresh."

Keg at Knotty Barrel, San Diego. Clear burnished gold, receding head. Bready malt aroma, some spicy hop notes. Great balance on the taste though, just the right amount of citrus and bitterness. Good body. Very drinkable.

15th July 2014, pint on tap in Schooner, Sunset Beach, Orange County. Cloudy orange/golden pour with a thin white head. Plenty of hops for a Pale Ale, American or otherwise, but I am on the West Coast and they seem to like their hops to take over the beers around here. I enjoyed the brew actually, not too bitter or overridingly hoppy, just a handful or two too many. Liked the fact it was only 5.5% as I was on a mission drinking along the Orange County coastal road via Bus Route No1. Had a great day.

Draft from the source. Light dankness, some grass and malt with traces of pine needles. Flavor is huge west coast influence, good amount of pine. Lighter body with slight lingering dankness. Thin body is the biggest negative, overall very drinkable.

Hazed orange. Pine and sweet fruit aroma. Taste is very chewy. Dank and juicy with a lot of pine cone and crystal malt finish. Classic west coast

Nice hop presence. Hoppy but not overly bitter. Too hoppy for a pale ale. Draft at Spremger’s Tap Room.
