On draft. Sparkly lacing. Faint aroma of citrus. Flavor is of citrus, roasted malts. Chewy mouth feel. Adequate.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pour out of bottle, clear orange pour with white head, aroma brought notes of big pine, grass, hints of spice in there with a touch of bitter orange peel, lots of caramel, toffee, slight earthy tones. Taste is a mix of grass, pine, slight spice notes into caramel, toffee, hints of earth, slight orange, grapefruit come through, finishing fairly bitter. Good but not great.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 19/20
on draft at far bar, this one is beautiful, very close to HF edward but just a little grainier and hops a little more restricted. I really liked this one a lot, drakes is quickly becoming a favorite.

3.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Citrus and light malty sweetness. Dry bitterness throughout. Crisp finish with a sour aftertaste that does not belong. Overall not a bad APA.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
This brew fell flat for me. I had it on tap and it was a bit too sour/grassy for my taste with no complexity.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tap at Grand Cafe, SF. Light gold pour. Delicious tropical fruit on the nose - nice mango and passionfruit with a lime twist. Taste gives more mango, tangerine and lime - bit of pithy grapefruit and light pine resin. Hint of honeyed biscuit malt to balance. Nice crisp citric bitterness. Lingering light pine and citrus. First class APA.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle shared with Tmoney99 (dec. 2011). Pours a clear dark golden color with a large off white head. The aroma had bready malts, some citrus a light tropical fruit, earthy hops and some green hop character. The flavor had dry grass, some citrus, pale malts, bread with a light resiny note. decent pale ale.

3.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Slightly hazed orange with a forced but lasting head. I can tell by pouring this out of the bottle that it is lower in carbonation. Pineapple, guava, and bergamot makes for an attractive aroma. Really light, low carbonation body that’s juicy and dry. Unrefined but still really, really enjoyable. The body kind of resembles drinking out of a growler.
