3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a hazy golden yellow on tap with fluffy white head that dissipates to leave moderate lace. Aroma is big citrus and pine hop notes over slight biscuit malt. Taste follows, resinous and awesome. Clean and easy, great session pale.

3.7 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle at Alís in San Francisco. Translucent golden orange coloured pour with a fine lasting white head. Aroma is nice resinous piney hop, light caramel malts, orange. Flavour is composed of light base grains, biscuit, pine needle hop, light orange rind. Palate is crisp, powdery, moderate carbonation, super dry finish.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
5.5%ABV. Pale Ale.
Poured out of the bottle a deep clear amber. 16ļSRM.
Nose is full of orange bloosoms, ripe Valencia oranges, kumquats and has a floral component to it suggestive of orchids.
Mouthfeel is carbonated and soapy. There are pale malt flavors of water biscuit and wheat toast. There are some nice roasted barley flavor notes, rough cracked barley, grits, and nutty flavors of almonds and hazelnuts.
Finish is medium with a piney, resinous finish with a surprisingly brief bitter finish.
Overall, an experience that is characteristic of a pale ale AND an IPA.
Goes on Favorites List!

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12 oz bottle purchased for less than your usual soda. Bottle purchased at Special Brews. Pours an oily yellow color with a full inch of foaming head that lasts. A full coating of foam lacing to go with it as well. So these guys are over 5000 batches now, itís kinda cool to see one hang on for this long. I can totally see why, the beer is solid. Huge hop character through the aroma. Flavor closely matches with a grapefruit, lemon like fruit background. Piney through both. Mild citrus splash finish, and quite cool. This beer was so fine. Very tasty. Lovely. Delicious. Quite piquant for sure. Any other adjective really. I mentioned it before in my last rating of a Drakes beer, but it seems like I never really saw there stuff around this area until recently. So far all has been good, and this beer is no exception. I really tried to make this rating wordy enough to reach as many characters as this beers batch number is, but this challenge has proved much harder than I originally thought. I have a strange history of every 100 ratings or so throwing in a rating or two that rambles on for so long I have to wonder if people think itís just plain dumb, if I earn a chuckle or two, or if anyone reads it at all. In my opinion, these ratings are for my own personal knowledge, and if I feel like making this a game of my own than thatís cool. The way I see it, itís a semi memorable rating for a very memorable beer. 1500 isnít so hard, one thing for sure, thatís a lot of beer.

Tap Folsom. Iíve had this before but not rated it, wtf. Anyways. Slightly citrus aroma, slightly grainy. Not enough hops. Flavor is also a bit grainy. Meh

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Strong earthy grassy floral, citrusy hop aroma with bready malt
Pours a hazy golden color with small wispy white head
Earthy floral hop flavor with citrus and plenty of bready malt to balance it out
Medium light bodied with medium co2, lingering hop flavor but not bitter.
Enjoyable session beer for hop lovers. I could easily drink a few of these

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at Base Camp Pizza in LT. Pours a a golden orange, slight head. Aroma is crisp and piney, very light amber. Body is medium-lively, finish slightly sweet, with some lingering bitterness. Very crisp and subtle, really a great example of the style.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pale amber with a white head that lasts pretty well. Aroma of pine, grapefruit, oranges, peach, light bread. Light bodied, medium high carbonation with a little creaminess behind. Just a little sweet bready malt, some earth, lots of fruit - as much peach as citrus - less pine than suggested by the aroma but it combines with enough bitterness at the end to keep it from being fruit saladish. Very good, wished it were a little less fizzy.
