COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
7×70 IPA clocks in at 7% ABV and 70 IBUs (hence the name) and starts with a citric burst from the Amarillo, El Dorado, and Citra hops in the boil. A lean malt bill that lets the hops really shine through with only 2-row and a touch of lightly toasted pale malt. The dry hop features a second boost of tropical citrus from Calypso hops, as well as a slap of pine from the Simcoes.

Some stanky hops in this lighter colored ipa.ample citrus, mainly tangerine but other things going on as well. Surprised there’s not more love for this...

On tap at Commonwealth, Oakalnd. Pours a clear light orange with a surprisingly fluffy egg white head. Definitely citrus dominated on the nose and palate, with a fair bit of earthiness in the hops. Citrus is more orange than grapefruit. Could use a little more sweetness or resin. Decent, but wouldn’t have again.

Tap@ Bagbys Oceanside.  Clear golden color with white head.   Nice fruity, floral, mango hoppy aromas.  Medium bodied. Tropical fruit, citrusy grapefruit, light dank hoppy flavors with a lightly sweet pale malt base brew-drying finish---good.

On draft. Aroma of orange peel. Nice lace. Flavors of orange juice and biscuit on the finish, with plenty of orange poking through. More bitter marmalade than sweet at the end. Really fine beer.

On tap @ Beachwood Brewing. Clear golden orange pour with white foam. Dank grapefruit nose. Hints of tangerine, orange, and tropical fruit. A bit of bread and butterscotch pudding. Flavor has a really solid bitterness of citrus rind. Some resin in there as well. Nice orange and tropical sweetness, fresh grapefruit, and some light malt.

On tap at Drakes. It pours a clear light golden color with a white head. The aroma is very intense with grass, dank, citrus and a little mango/pineapple. The flavor is the same. Nice hop complexity with notes of dank, grass, spice and some more fruitiness to balance. It finishes solidly bitter and dry. The body is perfect with very little malt to speak of. Maybe a hint of grain. Otherwise, this is a perfectly executed hop bomb. One of the best from Drakes in a while.

Sampled at the oregon brewers fest in Portland oregon, USA. This was a gross diacetyl bomb, thanks for sending a ruined, terrible beer 400 miles!

Tap at 2014 OBF. Pours light gold with a white head. Huge citrus rind aroma. Flavor is citrus, but it seems dank. ? Very hoppy, but not too bitter. Xpt for rind. A little malt backbone. Very tasty.

Pours a light orange with a one finger white head with nice lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, tropical fruits, sweet malts, and light dank hops. Taste is pretty similar to the aroma with some nice grapefruit and tropical fruit notes. Has a medium body with a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, moderately bitter, medium long finish. Overall, a tasty IPA.
