COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Looking for a beer with a bit lighter alcohol content? (What? Why? Just kidding! We all enjoy a great-tasting beer with less alcohol so we can drink A LOT MORE of it!) Our brewers created Alpha Session Ale with the same big flavors as an IPA, but lower alcohol content… so you can drink more of them. I’m definitely not complaining about that...
Hopped with Simcoe, Citra and CTZ.

Bottle. Clear golden color with ivory head. Spicy, dank, cat spray, hoppy aromas. Medium bodied. Dusty, spicy hop, light fruity flavors on a flimsy cracker malt base brew___lightly drying finish---pale ale light.

UPDATED: DEC 25, 2013 Bottle from a 4-pack. And another one and another one. Up there with Green Flash’s 5% Citra beer as a killer hoppy session ale. Hits just the right notes. You don’t need me to describe this for you -- if it sounds like your thing -- bet it is!

On tap at the Grad in Davis CA. Not much too it. Pale yellow in color with a little bit of hop. Not bad for a session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle from Craftshack. Good amount of ibu bitter flavour, grapefruit. Ultimate would be to have fresh on tap. Very good drinkability. Medium mouthfeel. Very clean.

Pours a bright orange with a small white head which fades to okay lacing. Aroma is of citrus, pine, dank hops, sweet malts, and some herbal hop notes. Taste is pretty simar to the aroma. Has a semi creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, semi bitter, medium finish. Overall, a tast, refeshing and highly sessionable APA.

Had a sample in a flight at Mohawk Bend. Solid, but strangely herbal. Refreshing, nicely hoppy.

Not sure how to rate this one, interesting blend, not quite a pale ale nor a wheat ale, a blend between the two, hard to replicate.

On tap at Apex A: Dull copper color with a crisp bubbly white head. N: Lots of pineapple and grapefruit. Some pine and earth, though I’d call this fairly non-descript. T: The taste is moderately bitter with a light sweetness. There’s not much to say about this other than that it’s clean. M: Light and moderately sticky. O: A decent quaffer. Not something I’d order very often (and I had some high hopes for it, because a 3.8% session beer is a great thing), but it does work to refresh the palate.
