COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Looking for a beer with a bit lighter alcohol content? (What? Why? Just kidding! We all enjoy a great-tasting beer with less alcohol so we can drink A LOT MORE of it!) Our brewers created Alpha Session Ale with the same big flavors as an IPA, but lower alcohol contentÖ so you can drink more of them. Iím definitely not complaining about that...
Hopped with Simcoe, Citra and CTZ.

UPDATED: JUN 8, 2013 Pours golden yellow with a white head. Citrus and pine. This really is something I could drink all day. Light body but still has a nice hop flavor. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 oz bottle. Pours a light gold. It looks like thereís a bit of haze in there, but it might be my imagination. Decent white head. Fine bubbles. Little lacing, decent retention. The aroma is crackery pale malt with lemon-pine-floral hops. Itís a nice, bright hop flavor. A tad lighter than Iíd like, but itís a minor complaint, and Iím probably expecting a bit much from a 3.8% abv beer. The taste is fresh and light. Just a touch of sugary malt sweetness but itís dry and refreshing, overall. Good floral pine hop flavor in the taste. Carbonation is normal. Light on the palate. Solid session beer. I just wish that it was available year-round and a bit cheaper.

On tap at Taps in Petaluma. Pours a golden brown color without much head. Good hop flavor and good balance for a low alcohol beer.

Bottle shared by kmweaver. Pours a clear gold with a nice white head. Nice rounded hoppiness, with resinous and citrus notes throughout, and a pale malt finish with a relaxed bitterness. An excellent session beer overall whose only shortcoming is a thinness of palate through the finish. But you canít expect that body with so little alcohol, so Iím okay with it.

Bottle, 12 oz, poured into a tulip. Clear golden, medium white head. Nose was mostly of the pine variety, fainter as the beer warmed up. I think this is lawnmower beer, pop it open while doing the chores, and slamming it down. Taste was very mild, but all on the bitter side. Good lively carbonataion. Overall decent, but price a bit high.

Bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium off-white head and nice lacing. Aroma of citrus, pine, and something a little like a cleaning product. Flavor is citrus, pine, caramel, a bit of metal. Light sweet, light bitter, bit of metal lingers to finish. Maybe I am just not digging the CTZ hops?

Bottle:   Straw, orange and hazy, thin frothy white head, little lacing.   Citrus rind and soft pithy nose.   A little sweaty and dank.   Soft bitterness, a little citrus peel and pithiness.   Starts out decent, falls off a bit towards the backside.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Soft finish, lighter than I would like.   Seems like a very mild Pale Ale.   Soft bitterness and citrus peel on the finish.   Tiz okay, but a lighter example of the style.

~Resinous hop aroma with woody spice and citrusy lemon like tones. Bready, biscuity maltiness ~Pours slightly hazygold color with long lasting creamy white head. ~Spicy citrusy resinous woody hop flavor with light biscuity maltiness. ~Light bodied, with high CO2, clean but lingering bitter hop finish. ~Great Looking brew and I love the low Alcohol level, so I donít get smashed. Great beer for hop lovers that want to drink lots of beer. Good BBqing brew.

This beer pours a clear golden-yellow color with a medium foamy white head that dissipates slowly. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of herbal hops and malt. Light-bodied with flavors of grassy hops, zesty citrus and bready malt. The finish is mildly bitter with a lingering fruity hops aftertaste. Well-executed sessionable APA all around.

Bomber shared with Strykzone via Facebook Chat. Poured a cloudy amber-gold with a robust white lead and lots of lacing rings. Nose is citrus and lime zest. Medium in body with a lively mouthfeel. The flavor is an unusual bitterness but the citrus hops dominate. An exceptionally flavorful session ale.
