12oz bottle from Bytemesis, Thanks Mike. This is an amber but also has ESB on the label so Iím a touch confused, but the taste and aroma lead me more to amber. decent beer but iím finding little touches of sweet toffee like flavors, not sure about that.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bitter hoppy malty toasty. Most ambers are big on the caramel and pretty mellow. Not this one!

2.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 7/20
Poured a dark copper brown. Light sweet aromas with a bit of a nutty taste and a big toasty taste on the palate. Finishes with a toasty nutty flavor. Not Not too big on this amber.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Poured from draft to a pint. Way darker that a typical amber. Creamy brown head that sticks around for a while. Tons of caramel malt on the nose. A solid amber, but I wish it were a tad less sweet. Itís a solid amber, if a touch too sweet for my preferences.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
This beer pours a dark brownish red color. It has a thick copper tinged head which sticks around very well. It has a malt aroma and has a nice bitterness which is balanced well with a smoky malt flavor. This is a very well done beer all around.

Draught @ Pacific Coast Brewing Company, Oakland. Rated on 19.10.2012.
Pours an amber colour with a white head. Aroma of toasted malts, dry grassy notes and some earth. Flavour is rather rich with toasted malts, strong grassy hops, earth and subtle caramel sweetness. Medium bodied, slick mouthfeel and a bitter, slightly sweet finish. Enjoyable.
