COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship amber ale is brewed with English malt, hops and yeast. The extra malt lends a lightly toasted, chocolate flavor, a tawny color, and a smooth, rich character; it's perfect for sipping one or enjoying many.

Bottle acquired in trade with DarkElf. Poured a dark and cloudy amber color with an averaged sized tan head. Aromas of oranges, citrus, and caramel. Caramel malts dominate the tastes with the hops noticeably lurking in the background. Sweet start with a light bitter finish.

From the Jug at the GABF, Colorado Convention Center 13/10/2007 Slightly rich malt aroma. Golden coloured hoppy and a little spicy with some bitterness in a crisp malt finish.

Deep amber colour, white head. Sweet biscuity aroma. Loads of diacetyl and oxidized caramelly malts as well. Hops are quite stale as well, but what are left are earthy and lightly fruity. Flavour is very buttery with some orangey hops. Decent bitterness but that’s about all it’s got going for it.

[2/21/15] Draught at Winter Brew Fest 2015 in San Diego. Clear amber. Aroma of malt, toast and some floral hops. Sweetish flavor, malty and toasty, with some floral hops and a mild bitterish finish. Medium-bodied. Easy-drinking.

Bottle. Pours with a voluminous, light brown, creamy head. Hazed amber body. Great lace. Aroma of toffee, crystal malt, light hops. Taste is nutty and woody with a bit of caramel. Slightly metallic. Fizzy.

On tap at Drake’s. This dark brown ale poured with a nice off-white head. The flavor is very hoppy with a carbonated mouthfeel. Better than most ambers I have tried.

On tap at Pete’s Brass Rail and Carwash in Danville, CA. It pours gold with thin white head. The aroma is sweet with malts and has a hint of noble hops. The taste is mild and doesn’t come off overly sweet. I get sweet malts balanced somewhat with grainy malts. There’s also a pale maltiness mixed in there too.

Draft. Bronze beer with a cream colored head. Malt and light grapoefruit aroma with light pine. Malt and hoppy flavors with some treacle and earth backing. Medium bodied. Light PNW hops and malt linger with light earthiness. Good balance.

Bottle. Ruby color with a nice beige head. Light nutty, slightly roasty aroma. Nutty flavor balanced with grassy hops and a bit of chocolate. Nothing outstanding, but a lot going on for an amber. Thanks Mike.

Bottled. Poured clear reddish-brown with a short-lived cap of off-white head. The aroma picked up a hefty dose of lightly-aged caramels, a great blend of mixed chocolates, herbal, and drier floral hoppage.. I can’t think of anything that I’d rather have from my Amber Ale. The flavor for the most part held serve.. toasty caramel and chocolate at the core with supple pine and floral bitterness extending outward.. sweet finish, and well-balanced with its bitterness. Pretty close to medium-bodied with great flow on the palate.. left a refreshing, lightly-bitter finish. Well done!
