COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our flagship amber ale is brewed with English malt, hops and yeast. The extra malt lends a lightly toasted, chocolate flavor, a tawny color, and a smooth, rich character; it's perfect for sipping one or enjoying many.

12 oz. bottle courtesy of a trade with dirty_martini. Pours a hazy reddish amber with a moderate off-white head that was gone before mid-glass. Very nice aroma of buttery caramel. The aroma intensified as the beer warmed. The caramel was present in the flavor, but not nearly as much. The dominant flavor was a sharp resinous pine which left a lingering bitter taste well after the swallow. A bit over the top with the hops for my tastes.

Bottle. Pours with a voluminous, light brown, creamy head. Hazed amber body. Great lace. Aroma of toffee, crystal malt, light hops. Taste is nutty and woody with a bit of caramel. Slightly metallic. Fizzy.

Pours dark amber with a nice khaki head. Aroma is fruity with minerals. A bit metallic. The flavor is fairly sweet with some dark fruit, bread, and a mildly spiced hop finish. Full bodied for an amber ale.

12oz bottle pours a dark brown body with a very thin tan head. Aroma is bready malt with some subtle caramel and chocolate notes. Flavors follows aroma, but also brings along much more hop character. Very nice, complex amber ale. The wife approves, as well.

Draft. Bronze beer with a cream colored head. Malt and light grapoefruit aroma with light pine. Malt and hoppy flavors with some treacle and earth backing. Medium bodied. Light PNW hops and malt linger with light earthiness. Good balance.

Bottle. Ruby color with a nice beige head. Light nutty, slightly roasty aroma. Nutty flavor balanced with grassy hops and a bit of chocolate. Nothing outstanding, but a lot going on for an amber. Thanks Mike.

12oz bottle. Rating #112. Hazy dark amber pour with a huge tan head. Light sweetness and some caramel. Smooth, more caramel sweetness with a touch of toast. Not bad. (2072)

On tap at Flavor in Half Moon Bay, CA. Pour is medium amber. Aroma is caramel, black tea. Taste is smooth malts then quickly turns to mild bitternes (A bit unexpected at first but grows more enjoyable).

Bottle: Dirty amber, fairly dark, lots of chunks floating about, moderate light beige head, frothy, so-so lacing, light carbonation.   Malty, biscuity, buttscotch nose.   Soft malt start, semi-sweet, although the sweetness seems somewhat artificial, with a big earthy finish.   A bit more hop on the exit, but doesn’t seem all too clean.   Slight astringency lingers.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Tiz okay, but not my bag I guess.   Thanks Dan!

Pours significantly darker than I expected. Nutty and malty. Chestnut. Not even caramel as I was expecting from the color. It’s a malty beer, but a dry maltiness. Not really roasty either. Yeah, there’s hops, but they give more of a spice than anything else. Almost peppery and cinnamon. Very strange beer. Not bad at all, but just not what I expect from an amber.
