COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aroma Coma is our summer seasonal India Pale Ale. Weve brewed it annually since 2009 for a local IPA festival, where it was selected one of the top three beers in the competition. The malt bill consists of almost all 2-row barley malt, with a touch of Caramalt for body - leaving you with a delightfully hop-forward experience. Generous amounts of Cascade, Chinook, CTZ & Citra hops create the citrus, pine, and floral notes. Breathe Em in and enjoy!

Bottle: thanks, Mike! Cloudy, muddled golden color which has some orange-ish hues near the center; almost full opaque & topped with a nice sized, chunky eggshell creme that leaves nice lacing as it recedes. Aroma is full of juicy hops; light, gummy orange flesh, tropical fruit peels, dank & resinous hops... Very West Coast in execution - stanky pines & sticky tropics with only a mild, cracker-y malt bill. Taste start with bitter pines, pungent lupulin oil, mild grass, & a faint hint of green onion. Mide-palate into the finish has much fruit; tangerine peel, pineapple, & pith-y citrus notes... Quite bitter on the back of the tongue with a very small hint of malt sweetness for balance; light biscuit-y & bread-like finishing character. A pretty damn nice & very aromatic IPA.

Bottled: recently Im assured. Apricot with a good peanut quilt, low clarity. Smells of citra, orange, lime, pine, weed, resin - all the awesome things from hops together. The nose does not fit any single IPA, its blowing my mind - Im expecting booze, but the ABV indicates otherwise. So I give it a taste, Im surprised at the bitterness up front - then the citrus notes come back through and bitch slap my tongue. Biscuity malts follow through. Medium bodied with hi carb and an oddly dry finish. Nice beer, really nice beer. Serving type: bottle 08-19-2012

Bottle. Pine/grapefruit peel and orange caramel malt aroma. Hazy golden yellow with moderate head. Sweet orange caramel malt and moderately bitter earthy pine and grapefruit peel flavor. Nice but nothing to set it apart.

Bottle at Beermongers. Pours a clear copper color with a medium white head. A light perfumy head, some citrus and biscuit. The flavor is great: clean, low bitterness, honey, bit sweet oranges, resin, floral. Toast. Very nice.

22oz Bottle: Pours a hazy golden with a small white head. The aroma is so pronounced. Lots of citrus and some pine notes. The taste is very similar with a clean finish. This a very IPA with a great hop character. I would like to try it super fresh.
