3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at City beer. Nose is a strong pine with a touch of cattiness. Pour is fairly clear with a small white head. Taste is grassy with some fruit. Taste is a let down after the nose. Ok though.

This was a very good IPA, this was an awesome IPA, loads and loads of hops with a good variety of flavor from citrus to floral to a bit piny. Really enjoyed it

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber, dated 6/26. Big fruity hop aroma. Taste is similar with floral and pine flavors layered in. Lingering bitterness on the finish. Clean and tasty, hops hit another level as it warms a bit.

Yup. It’s that good. A dank floral single IPA from Drake’s that kick’s ass for summer. Get it!

22oz bottle -
I always have a place in my ’frig for Drake’s. Any time, any day. So when I come across a new IPA from theirs called Aroma Coma, it’s a no-brainer. Get some. So get some I did and chose a day when I made a new mead to dive in.
The aroma on this is really the star. Just a stunning aroma of fresh hops, like opening a hop bag and inhaling deeply. Floral, citrus, perfume...just really intense and a great showcase of hops. The palate is also quite tasty, and well balanced. Fruity/citrusy hops have a smooth relationship with the malts and it really works and creates a really tasty IPA.

1.2 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 2/20
Full disclosure, I bought at Whole Foods and its 8 months old. Very weak nose, heavy on the malt and light on the hops. I’m sure it doesn’t help that its old. Next time I’m checking the dates.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
A - Pours a golden hue with a 1.5 finger, off white head that fades quickly.
S - Huge hop notes, citrus, pine, wheat.
T - Lots of citrusey hots up front, grapefruit, citrus, moves into a wheaty middle with a semi-bitter back end.
M- Medium bodied with ample carbonation.
D - This is a great ipa that I could drink all day. Smells heavenly.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle:   Vibrant golden, orange hued, with a fairly nice head and lacing.   Somewhat of a sweet fruity aroma, citrusy, candied, smells good.   Hoppy without being overly bitter, rather smooth actually.   Body and mouthfeel are full to moderate.   Clean hoppy exit.   Has a decent amount of sweetness to the soft bitterness.   Good balance, clean, and smooth for an IPA.   Yum!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
6.75% abv. $7.49 for the 650 mL bottle purchased from Bevmo (Temecula) earlier today. To pint, it pours a clear golden amber, and sustaining a bubbly off-white head resting atop. Aromas of pine needles, grapefruit, sourdough, lacquer, bong water, Bible paper, spelt, cotton, and green grapes. Tastes the same with the addition of chalk, chrysanthemum, and palm tree bark. Smooth and poundable. Nice IPA.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber purchased at BevMo in Escondido ($7.99). Pours a hazy sunset-orange hue with two fingers of fluffy white foam which leave some nice lacing. AROMA of fresh-cut citrus (tangerine and grapefruit), wet pine forest, hints of stone fruit (peach, apricot), herbal-resiny hops, and some toasted malts. FLAVOR of bright citrus, pine resin, earthy herbal hops, with some honey malts. Finishes mildly bitter. I didn’t drink this as fresh as I should have, but the hops are very well done here. Another fine lupulin effort from the folks at Drakes. (144, 843)
