Golden orange with a fluffy head. The aroma on this is amazing! Sweet malts, flowers, citrus fruits and huge hops coming out of the glass. The smell of this beer is off the charts good, and it’s as complex as it gets for an ipa. I am impressed. The taste is big hops, Grapefruit, some herbal notes and more hops. One of my favorite if not my favorite ipa. I would take this over Blind Pig, Racer Five or Just Outstanding and many other great ipas any day. Mouthfeel is just perfect, feels like a bigger beer than 6.75%, smooth and leaves a decent amount of aftertaste.

Pours a deep, thick cheddar orange with a nose of orange, sweetened lemon, grapefruit syrup, and a touch of pine. Flavor is fresh orange, grapefruit candy, light biscuit, and a touch of pine. Oily mouthfeel. Excellent IPA.

Hazy blonde. Thin head. Massive dank aroma. Bitter, herbal, weedy with light pale malt. Very, very nice IPA, clean and richly hopped.

Draft at GABF. Pours a hop-hazed gold with a thick white head. Nose is fantastic. Big herbal notes, cannabis and some citrus notes as well. On tasting, big and easy bitterness, clean ferment with more dank hopping. Big pop of hops and really good stuff. Fantastic.

10/1/11 notes: draft. Pours a lighter “tropical” orange-ruby, nice fluffy lacing. Aroma has big orange and tangerine – both fruit and pith. Body is on light, cleaner side, flavors are very hop forward without excessive bitterness. Finishes soft, mild florality, juicy yet restrained. So pleasant, attractive, utterly drinkable.

Bomber from Monument in Concord, CA. Pours light amber gold with a creamy off-white head. Cat piss aroma with floral and pine. Med+ body. Flavor is lots and lots of citrus pine and floral. Finish is kind of floral and pine. How did they make a beer without malt?

Bottle shared by bhensonb. Pours clear yellow with a rich off-white head and a marvelous piney aroma. There is a mild caramel malt flavor with some seriously bitter hopping. It’s not balanced, but it a hophead’s delight.

good ipa from drakes. not the best, not the worst, but i was expecting a lil more considering the name. still a very mice aroma, but not the best or biggest ive smelled on an ipa by a long shot. def still a great brew overall.

I enjoyed this .. . Pours a dark gold, good foam, awesome lacing .. . if noses could show emotion, mine would be smiling . .. lots of pine, resin, flowers, citrus and stupid scooter .. . nice stuff, and like 3 weeks old... .

The aroma on this one is fruityskunky - for lack of a better non-word. Not using the bitter hops, this one cashes in on the aromatic hops. Beautiful in that regard. If you fear IPA’s because of the bitterness, try this one. Clean, smooth and aromatic. The flavor is dank green bud but ends dry. Pours orangish copper with white head.
