COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Aroma Coma is our summer seasonal India Pale Ale. We’ve brewed it annually since 2009 for a local IPA festival, where it was selected one of the top three beers in the competition. The malt bill consists of almost all 2-row barley malt, with a touch of Caramalt for body - leaving you with a delightfully hop-forward experience. Generous amounts of Cascade, Chinook, CTZ & Citra hops create the citrus, pine, and floral notes. Breathe ’Em in and enjoy!

man, there’s just something about drake’s IPAs and double IPAs that i cant quite wrap my head around. to my taste - one that is admittedly biased to the west coast style - drake’s simply hits the sweet spot. again and again. wow. superb straight up hard core west coast IPA. pours a golden glowing orange with great head and lacing. huge hop aroma .. pine, citrus, herb, flower. sharp, bitter and massive west coast represent! excellent palate - thick, chewy and a delight. must try.

Pours a golden color with a fluffy white head. Big aroma that fits the name with citrus, pine and hop notes. Citrus, pine and hoppy flavors. The citra hops really stand out. Bitter citrus finish.

Pours hazy golden yellow with medium white bubbly head. Aroma is all hop, dank pine and citrus. Taste is dank hoppiness upfront with resinous pine on the follow through with a faint hint of malty sweetness. Aftertaste is lingering bitter grapefruit and pine hope bite. Palate is thin and sticky. Overall this is an excellent hop bomb IPA that goes down easy.

Light mouth feel with a faint grapefruit and tropical fruit start with a very strong pine resin finish. Getting a light resin nose. 22 from whole foods

Bottle from bleeng. Thanks!
Pours a deep, thick cheddar orange with a nose of orange, sweetened lemon, grapefruit syrup, and a touch of pine. Flavor is fresh orange, grapefruit candy, light biscuit, and a touch of pine. Oily mouthfeel. Excellent IPA.

smells like weeds of the nor cal country, couldn’t have a better West Coast IPA with aromas such as these!

The beer poured great with golden straw/orangish color to it, had a nice foamy white head and left good lacing on the glass. The beer smelled outstanding with a definite presence of citra hops right up front that lingers with that solid orange/citrus/bubble gum scent. The beer tasted outstanding as you get an overwhelming taste of resin and pine oil, an earthy undertone, this is really strange because that was not what I was expecting from the nose of the beer...really impressive. The mouthfeel is great with the beer being well carbonated, medium bodied and leaving you very dry. Overall, an outstanding IPA with great characteristics. Highly recommmended.

Wow, this beer is pretty much just what I want in an IPA. Mandarin orange citrus hop nose, satisfyingly bitter yet flavorful citrus and resin from the hops, with enough of a malt backbone to actually be discernible through all the hop, perfectly carbonated for drinkability. The only possible hole I can find in this one (relative to my personal taste in IPA) is just a faint touch on the resinous side. This is a great seasonal variation from Drake’s, outshining their standard IPA for sure.
