On tap at The Red in Santa Cruz. Hazy deep brown with a modest tan head. Not a lot of lacing. Aroma is malty and sweet, with a big molasses character. Taste has a lot of brown sugar sweetness, without much sourness to balance. Still, I prefer this to the cherry cola character I’ve tasted in other oud bruins. Mouthfeel isn’t fizzy like Petrus, but rather appropriate. Thick and sweet, easy to drink.
