Aroma: Roasted malt, coffee and cacao.
Appearance:Dark brown/black with ruby highlights and a large brown head..
Flavor: Mocha and a very clean slightly sweet maltiness. Hops are not part of this beer’s profile.
Palate: Medium to full bodied with a roasty-malty finish.
Overall: Good porter, a bit more complexity would make it more interesting.

Tap: inky dark brown pour with thin tan head. Aroma is roast grain with coffee, caramel and rasting nuts. Flavor is similar to the smell with toffee on top of roasted grain, roasted nuts, a little charred bread, and a dab of soy sauce. Palate is thick with a mild sweet and a light bitter. This beer is a mouthful of flavor and nice to sip easy to drink.

Big and bold. Love this porter. Pours a deep black with a lasting head. Nicely roasted body to this one.

Strong aroma of hazelnut, caramel and spices. Dark brownish black with a tan foam rim. Pleasantly chalky flavors of cocoa nibs, black patent, nuts and toasted caramel. Subtle hop undertones with a continuous cocoa/chocolate on the finish. Overall, Well done. Smooth, balanced and drinkable. I’d give this an A rating.

Bottle shared by Dogbrick. Darkest brown pour with a thick tan head. Aroma of malt, dark chocolate, coffee and licorice. Malty and chocolatey flavor with roasty coffee and a bit of licorice before a bitter, roasty finish.

Bomber from Bevmo, Salinas. Nose is rich chocolate, lots of roast, and a hint of smokiness. Black with a big tan head. Flavor is lightly bitter, charred bread, and a moderate chocolate. Excellent porter!

Rich coffee and chocolate aroma along with some roasted malt notes.
Pours a rich, deep black with a dark tan one and a half finger head.
Tastes of strong roasted malt flavor. Chocolate and coffee dominate the flavor.
Medium to full body with a slightly creamy texture. Low carbonation and a chocolaty finish.
Overall a very good robust porter.

Poured at Cap Brewfest. Aroma and flavor like smoking a flavored cigar. Some chocolate and roasted almond/cashew mix in there. Palate had nice carb and a clean finish. Very nice beer.

This brew pours an opaque brown-black color with a medium khaki head that dissipates slowly. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of coffee, roasted malt and chocolate. Medium-bodied with a roasty character and flavors of sweet malt, espresso and chocolate. The finish is roasty with a lingering coffee aftertaste. Pretty good overall.
