COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Drake’s Black Robusto Porter is a deep, dark “Robust Porter,” a beer style known for being darker, fuller-bodied, and higher in alcohol by volume than a standard Brown Porter. Our Black Robusto goes down smoothly with flavors of bittersweet chocolate an slight roast from Crystal and Chocolate malt. A touch of spicy, herbal hop character from Willamette hops balance out the finish. Enjoy a pint with dark, lingering satisfaction.

On tap at Drake’s Barrelhouse. The pour is lovely; black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is rich roasted malt and chocolate. Dry bitter flavor with a smooth velvety finish. A very good porter all around.

Draft sample with a great dry roasted nose of chocolate and ground coffee. Nice thicker \ fuller body. Really great flavor for a under 7 % ABV porter. Nice layers of dark malts with a creamy Nitro pour, well it takes like it was on Nitro. Smooth as all hell.

Pitch black throughout. Nose is creamy, chocolate and espresso bean. Very creamy mouthfeel. Wish it was a bit sharper (think HFS everett) but the signs are all there to be a great porter. Burnt oak finish

Stuedmaster (208) - Vista, California, USA - JUL 30, 2014
This is a solid, strong porter. 22 oz. bottle, pours rich and black with a small tan head that fades fast. Aroma of coffee, roasted nuts, dark chocolate, toasted grain, and sweet malt. Taste is lightly sweet, medium bitter, and light sour, with a slight mineral saltiness. Has a clean finish, with a hint of spices and herbs. Has an overall dry feel, but is tasty and even good in the summer.

really very good all around. lots of dark chocolate notes and earthiness followed by an interesting hop character. mouthfeel is just right, not too prickly or foamy. very dark pour with a nice tan head. hard to go wrong with this one

Bottle at DTE tasting. Deep black pour with tan head. Aroma is roasty, nice chocolate aroma, full roast, pretty classic porter, light hoppiness. Taste is chocolatey, lots of caramel, light roastiness on the finish but not very bitter at all. Palate is med-light bodied with good carbonation. Good.

Benzai (8140) - Oirschot, THE NETHERLANDS, NETHERLANDS - JUN 20, 2014
Bottle @ DTE tasting shared with Deanso, kermis, sic1314, JulianHuxley and jmgreenuk. Pitch black color, average sized brown head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roasty, nicely bitter but not too much. Not my best rating but I got distracted a bit and liked it too much so drank it a bit too quickly. Nice one!
