Draft. Black beer with a tan head. Bourbon/brandy aroma. Brandy/bourbon flavor with malt and light toffee. Medium bodied. Brandy and bourbon linger with light toffee, light cooca, and light vanilla.

On draught at Drakes Taproom. Black with a fair bubbly head. Rich, chocolatey After Eight aroma. Tasty, chocolatey, boozy, minty. Smells like Christmas pudding. Has a lot to it.

On tap at the Barrel House. It pours brown with an orange/tan head. The aroma is toffee, cocoa, a little tart stone fruit. Brown sugar, bourbon… nice. The flavor is woody, bourbon, vanilla, caramel and a little cocoa. Roast in the finish. LIght carbonation.

From memory: draft. Overall, a rich, layered, and concentrated beer, with good balance. Obvious oak influence, though not overbearing.. Layers of rich chocolate, vanilla, roasted coffee beans and hints of whiskey. Solid. A one and done kind of beer, due to the overall richness on the palate. Well made. --- tasted while on a long journey to understand the world around me...

On tap. Black with a creamy tan head. Chocolate, cherry, dark fruits, and Bourbon barrel aroma. Thick bright palate. Tastes of chocolate, caramel, sour cherries, green apple, grape, vanilla and bourbon barrel. Nice.

On tap at Drakes Barrel House. Pours near black with a nice tan head and a bourbon aroma. There is a slightly sour dark malt flavor with some oak and a warm bourbon trail.

On tap at Drakes poured a clear dark reddish brown with a small lasting brown head. Aromas of bourbon, oak, roastiness, toffee and fruuittiness. Palate was full bodied and smooth. Flavors of oak, toffee, fruittiness and light bourbon with a smooth lingering oaky bourbon finish.
