COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Silver Medal winner for Imperial India Pale Ale, Great American Beer Festival 2009. Besides Jolly Roger, this is probably Drake’s most renowned beer. An Imperial (or Double) IPA, Denogginizer is a big bold beer hopped with an abundant amount of Simcoe and Amarillo with a touch of Ahtanum and Chinook. Mashed with Crystal malt and Caramalt for color and flavor to help balance out the hop assault. Denogginizer is also Drake’s most powerful regular offering, at a whopping 10% alcohol by volume!

Snifter at 38 degrees ale house. Good aroma, Bittersweet. Grapefruit and pine. Clean brownish orange color, good head and lace. Bittersweet flavor. Thick body, oily creamy mouthfeel, bitterdry finish. Good, big bitterness. Not doing much to distinguish itself, but solid iipa....

Pours a deep amber colour, slightly hazy with a cream tan head. Aroma is of caramel malt, brown sugar, muted citrus fruits, and a mild hop undertone. Taste is sweet up front and fairly bitter toward the finish, the bitterness lingers long after the sip as well. Creamy on the palate, medium to full body, lively carbonation. Overall a really nice double IPA.

Medium sized off white head with good retention and lace that hangs. Lightly hazy amber/orange hued brew. Nice fruity nose, grapefruit/citrus with some lightly sweet malts, caramel. Body is medium, lil chewy with a soft carbonation, lil creamy and resiny. Nice balance of malts and hops. Malts lightly sweet, caramel and the hops are juicy with notes of pine and melon, nicely citrusy and a hint earthy. Finish could of been a bit more bitter but thats just me.Almost Dry, lasting finish and incredibly quaffable @ almost 10% ABV.! Received in trade from IrishBoy . Had been on my wants list for some time now and Richard hooked me up! Thanks man!

Pours orange and has a slight grapefruit smell. It has a bitter upfront flavor that carries a little. Would pair well with spicy or strong flavors.

22 oz bottle. Neon orange brown with a coating ivory head. Nose is orange, caramel, a touch of pine and cane sugar. Chewy, spicy, with a soft tingle. Taste is butterscotch, pine, hints of soy and grapefruit. Seemingly simple but packs in a lot of flavor. Hot screwdriver finish. Good.

22 oz bottle. Pours orange with a thick full head. Citrus nose. Flavor is pine and grapefruit, but not over the top. Nice sweet balance. I like my iipa to be so hoppy it makes your butt cheeks pucker and this beer doesn’t do that. The finish does have a bite, but again, I like mine with a big kick. The ABV is very well hidden. Overall, this is a very decent DIPA and easy to drink but lost a few points in the hop department.

65cl, American brew, from The Bottle Shop Canterbury, complex bitter brew, bitter/sweet and slightly alcoholic/fruity, heavy, yet balanced, cloudy, rocky head, good brew, yet expensive!

Orange pour with thin white head. Typical smell of citrus and pine with some nice sweetness as well. Nice and bitter upfront with a solid malt backbone that smoothes the hop bomb nicely. Agree with others that the alcohol is hidden well. Very nice dipa.

A punchy upfront IPA. Little dirty on the back palate which I liked as it added to the appeal. First word that popped in my mind was, "wow". Rich colour, but also a little sweet and syrupy. I know you cant drink the packaging, but loved the presentation to boot!
