4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Golden-amber, clear, lingering white head. Aroma is resin, orange zest, alcohol and honey, big. Nice balance on the tongue...fresh bready malts, piney hops, great beer...big but didn’t get greedy.

3.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
(Drakes Denogginizer) Bottle 650 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 9.7%
Orange colour on the body, crystal clear, with a full finger of white thick head on top, with very good retention in spite od its small size.
Not very strong aroma, some caramel malts, light orange, biscuit.
Taste is better, strong alcohol from the first sip, with caramel malts, biscuit, light grapefruit, plenty of orange, hints of tropical fruits on the finish along with a nice bitterness.
Medium body, good carbonation, slightly dry palate.
Good, highly drinkable.

3.5 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Tap @ Beer Temple, sample size, shared with Abijen & MarcodL. Hazy amber color. Uneven white head. Aroma’s: resin, malty sweetness. Retronasal there’s hoppy sourness and malty swetness. Flavor is moderate bitter, not very outspoken. Rather strong alcohol feel. Medium bodied. Finishes rather dry and rather bitter.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Dark orange pour with a tall beige head that gives way to a lacing that sticks to the side of the glass. Dank and piney smell, with notes of grapefruit, tropical fruit and salt. Bitter-sweet taste, with notes of grapefruit, gooseberris, unripe apples and herbal hops. The alcohol is present and noticeable, otherwise this would have been a much better beer.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Bottle at Gordon Biersch - Oakland airport. Surprising find, pricy, but worth it. Medium golden body, small creamy head, curtains of lacing on the glass. Dank, funky, hoppy, but still can detect the solid malt backbone. Lingering bite, mildly dry, but where’s the heat? I’m sure it will catch me later. Deserving of its high marks.
