COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Silver Medal winner for Imperial India Pale Ale, Great American Beer Festival 2009. Besides Jolly Roger, this is probably Drakeís most renowned beer. An Imperial (or Double) IPA, Denogginizer is a big bold beer hopped with an abundant amount of Simcoe and Amarillo with a touch of Ahtanum and Chinook. Mashed with Crystal malt and Caramalt for color and flavor to help balance out the hop assault. Denogginizer is also Drakeís most powerful regular offering, at a whopping 10% alcohol by volume!

Tap at Sprengerís, Santa Rosa. Pours deep honey, big white head. Aroma is citrus, big pine notes, resin. Flavor is hop forward with sugary high-abv sweetness and a piney finish. Itís solid. Maybe not the most going on, but I dig it.

1pint 6fl oz bottle. Pours a hazy amber honey colour with a orange tinged creme coloured head. Aroma is super fruit heavy, lots of fresh pineapple, grapefruit, passionfruit, with light golden syrup undertones. As for taste. Whoa. Up front, itís HUGE fruit. More than I have ever tasted in an IPA. Peach, apricot, passionfruit, light resinous notes with some light golden syrup that leads into light hop/malt notes and a surprise mellow lead out to the citrus in the finish. Not at all harsh at 90IBUís, and well balanced from front to back. It saddens me that I can grab this at a corner store in America, when I have tasted NOTHING like this that has come from a Canadian brewery. Pure gold.

Bottle pour. Dark cloudy orange with a large foamy off white head. Aroma is citrus, pine, and toffee. Full creamy body. Very light sweet with a strong salty and bitter finish.

Tap at the brewery tap drakes dealership. Clear bright orange coloured pour with a lasting sticky thin white head. Aroma is big toffee, slight butter popcorn, but not duacetyl, pine, orange rind. Flavour is composed of sweet malts, chewy toffee, spicy orange rind, pine, honey. Palate is full and chewy, moderate to high carbonation.

*Mahalo to my buddy Dean for bringing this to Hawaii from California!* Orange colored with big chunky eggshell head. Interesting aroma balanced with spicy aroma hops. Not the Pine/grapefruit hops youíd expect from a Left coast IPA. Chewy & thick with light carbonation, nice mouthfeel! Delicious beer with plenty of flavor, Iím getting Star Anise and Kaffir lime peel, like an exotic asian dish and then a sweet finish as if Iím chewing bubblegum. The alcohol sneaks up at the end and you feel it warming you once it hits bottom. Yep, Iím digging this one!

Bomber to snifter. Pours dark burnt orange with a frothy off-white head... heavy lacing. Aroma: big juicy hop nose with a massive burnt sugar malt backbone. Taste: hops try to come through big but give way to crystal malt. Great balance. But definitely not enough hop bitterness. Palate: big sticky finish. Phenomenal beer, just not enough hop forward to grade world class.

The beer pours a clean copper color with a nice head. Aroma of all the usual sweet citrus fruits along with some pine. Big hops up front, grapefruit and lemon zest. Followed up with some pine and resin. The bitterness provides a long tangy finish.
