Do these guys make a bad beer? Nice amber pour with thin tan head.
Nice peach / grapefruit aroma. Sweet malt taste accompanied by orange peel, caramel and pine. Full body with a sharp hoppy dry finish.
I love it!

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A: The pour is amber in color with a dense off-white head and some sticky lacing.
S: Fairly sweet with a definite caramel and toffee aroma to it. Certainly on the sweet side, but there is some nice hoppiness to it. Strong citrus and pine hops with a little bit of tropical fruit in there as well.
T: Despite what is a fairly heavy sweetness, for an IPA at least, there is a really solid hop flavor. Pineapple, grapefruit, and pine are the big players and they give the beer a nice balance and a decent bitterness.
M: Fairly full in body with a moderate level of carbonation.
O: Perhaps not my favorite DIPA, but for one that’s on the sweeter side, this is pretty good stuff.

On tap at 38 Degrees, Alhambra, Los Angeles. Dark amber, nice head. Grapefruity hops all the way. One-dimensional, but good.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Grapefruit peel and tangerine nose, with mustard accents. Dingy orange-brown, medium yellow head, what can best be described as floodwater or sewage treatment overflow. Milkshake-like glass coating. Full bodied and somewhat viscous. Whole orange and mango. More of a grapefruit peel type finish. Sweet and prominent malt presence does a lot to damper the resinousness of the hops. This beer is big. Big hops, big malt. Decent complexity, good balance, attitude. NIce job!

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours amber red and clear. Nice pillowy off white head with great retention and lace. Nose is fruity, grassy hops. Also heavy with dankness resinous hops, pines, and almost some hint of garlic, chinook hops. Also notes of caramel in the nose. Taste is piney, resin, and tropical fruit hops and balanced out nicely with caramel malts. Sweet and heavily bitter in the finish. Smooth and creamy mouthfeel. It’s one of the heavier, darker, west coast IIPAs.

22oz bottle. Rating #173. Hazy orange/brown pour that had a nice little glow too it and a light beige head that stuck to the glass pretty well. Citrusy and maybe a little oxodized, picking up a little wet cardboard. Flavor was sweet, caramel malt and a nice little hop bite.(1676)

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber from Holiday Wine Cellar ($6.49). Pours an intense orange-red with a half finger of off-white head. Aroma is initially full of hops (citrus, grass) followed by some sweet caramel maltiness. Flavor follows suit: tangy citrusy-grassy-soapy hops up front leading to considerable caramel sweetness at the end. Actually leans more toward sweetness than bitterness in the finish. Quite smooth for the style. (171, 527)

sweet malty grapefruity. Full bodied. Fun. Not too bitter. Good, but a bit too sweet for my liking.

3.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A slightly unclear amber beer with an orangey head. Aroma is sweet malt and lots of hops and resin. Taste is smokier and darker than most Imperial IPAs I have had, with a good amount of malty sweetness. The hop flavor is considerably darker too, almost arrogant bastard dark and heavy. The finish is long, bitter, and a little sweet right at the end with a strong booze presence throughout. A good looking and and smelling Imperial IPA, but the taste is not quite what I was looking for.
