4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Tasted on 12/19/10 from a bomber bottle, I am not sure who brought this one. Pours clear orange with a thick white head that leaves even lace. The nose is resin and citrus hops with a good amount of orange (juice and fresh) and a solid caramel malt backbone. The flavor is resin, orange flower, and the caramel malt backing everything up. The body is medium with average carbonation and a long bitter finish.

Amberish pour. Off white head. Pine, caramel malt, some light char, floral hops. Hoppy flavor hits with some light malt and molasses. Interesting.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle. Pours a deep copper color. Hint of brown sugar and molasses in the aroma. Hops springs to your nose. Big, tangy mouthfeel. Nice balance of hops and malt. But very tart. Kind of a dry finish. Pretty impressive beer if I do say so myself.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber picked up at City Beer in San Fran; clear, dark caramel; fluffy white head; onion, garlic, mild buttery hops; sweet mouthfeel, but lots of garlic; sticky, dry mouthfeel; lots of dirty socks and garlic; not sure if itís just an old bottle or what, but Iím not digging this one at all

650ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a rich copper color with a medium off-white head that has fair retention and some lacing. The aroma is strong with citrus (mostly oranges), spices and soap. The flavor is sharply biter with pine resins, grapefruit, caramel and biter nuts. The palate is full and smooth with lively carbonation. The finish is long and biter. Overall: I found this bordering on being harsh, still, strengths outweigh weaknesses.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Outside of Pliny, Imperial/Double IPAs seem to have a very similar makeup. Resin, pine and considrable malt undertone. The latter can be good, donít get me wrong, but this beer is an exception. The hop aroma is unique in itís pine and citrus notes and there is only a slight hint of the malt underneath. Not so in the taste. There is some resin, but the pine of the hops, the caramel of the malt and an almost licorice undertone. Not to mention the heat you get as it warms. I am enjoying this very much and will have to go back and buy a few more!

4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
10 ounce sample on tap at Rubicon Brewing Company for Hoptoberfest. Aroma is very orangey with some hempy Simcoe notes. Nice balance of sweetness and hops are present here. Very nicely aromatic. Transparent copper-amber body with a small off-yellow head and decent lacing. Wow - this is really tasty stuff. Starts with a ton of hops (simcoe, methinks). Fairly sweet and sticky with nice, chewy malts in the middle. Finishes with a mild herbal hop bitterness. Well-balanced and very drinkable!

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap. Pours dark amber with good head retention. Aroma bursts with red fruit, ripe orange, pinneaple, touch of pine. Palate is good rounded presence, medium-dry finish; not too sticky. Flavor is predictably bold and hoppy, with firm sweet malt and fruit middle. Finish is a touch booze sharp, with minty elements. Tasty.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear amber color with a small creamy head. Floral and caramel aroma with some lemon and citron hops. Flavor is crisp bitterness, but still very mellow. Smooth velvety mouthfeel. This beer is an absolute pleasure, and I canít believe I havenít tried it before.
