COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Silver Medal winner for Imperial India Pale Ale, Great American Beer Festival 2009. Besides Jolly Roger, this is probably Drake’s most renowned beer. An Imperial (or Double) IPA, Denogginizer is a big bold beer hopped with an abundant amount of Simcoe and Amarillo with a touch of Ahtanum and Chinook. Mashed with Crystal malt and Caramalt for color and flavor to help balance out the hop assault. Denogginizer is also Drake’s most powerful regular offering, at a whopping 10% alcohol by volume!

Winner, Winner!!! What a GREAT BEER!!!! BEST BEER I’VE TASTED... It got a 4.8 rather than a 5.0 because maybe there’s a BETTER BEER OUT THERE??? Wow! What a Beer! Aroma: HOPPY & Malty... Very Balanced! Appearance: Reddish Brown, Clear- Nice head for an IPA! Taste: Medium Bitter up front... then goes to a VERY Balanced Hopped Maltiness! Overall: What a GREAT BEER! Drake Brew Co. Sell this at BEVMO wow! Super Duper Beer!

An intense aroma of bitter hops and grapefruit. This is a tasty IPA, definitely not a subtle one. Tons of bitter hops from the start, but the finish is truly interesting, as the bitterness and the citrus battle back and forth. Pretty good stuff.

Hand bottled @ the brewery. This is one of the best IIPA"s, and one of the better beers I’ve rated. Huge hop aroma w/ flavor donimated by hops and alcohol spiciness. Simple, not overdone w/ malt, and damn good. Nice job Rodger.

6th annual Bistro IIPA fest. This brew won best of show in ’05 and ’04. Failed to place this year. I see why it did so well in year’s past and am shocked it isn’t more highly rated than it is. Wonderfully bitter aroma. Amber body; yellowish, off-white head. Excellent lace. Really good. Good balance. I can’t come up with a way that this could be any better. Outstanding.

Cool brass/copper color, earthy feel, great flavor, and well balanced malt is real treat. Not too heavy and great head, reccomended to other DIPA lovers, close to a green flash imperial IPA style

I think this beer is an excellent brew. It has a nice hoppy taste and the it’s really smooth. Foam quality is awesome and just an overall great beer. Cheers!

Leafy hops with a fantastic citrus twist on the nose. Pours a beautiful light gold with a very thin foam top. Huge bitter hop bite up front, with an incredibly delicious citrus/grapefruit background. Strong, full flavor with a pleasant carbonation and thin, smooth texture. Overall, I am thouroghly impressed with this brew. As far as a spectacular IPA goes, this brew absolutely nails it. Genius hop flavor coushined by a subtle malt background. I love everything about this, A+ rating.

UPDATED: SEP 13, 2005 On tap @ The Bistro- Double IPA Fest where it took the gold. Orange in color with only a whisp of a head. Big, grassy, hop aroma with TONS of orange. I tasted it expecting a huge hop assault, and actually found a somewhat malty sweetness followed by a sharp bitter aftertaste. Finishes very clean. RE-Rate. The newest batch seems to be much more hop forward (and afterward as well) Sweet and hoppy with noticable alcohol. I wouldn’t expect to mix it with anything later on. Any other beer or food after this monster is a waste of your money! I do love this beer.
