COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Silver Medal winner for Imperial India Pale Ale, Great American Beer Festival 2009. Besides Jolly Roger, this is probably Drakeís most renowned beer. An Imperial (or Double) IPA, Denogginizer is a big bold beer hopped with an abundant amount of Simcoe and Amarillo with a touch of Ahtanum and Chinook. Mashed with Crystal malt and Caramalt for color and flavor to help balance out the hop assault. Denogginizer is also Drakeís most powerful regular offering, at a whopping 10% alcohol by volume!

OMG, this is the highest DIPA I think Iíve ever had. Everything about it was perfect. The only thing Iíd change is it has an ever so slight raw alcahol nuance in the taste. Maybe with such a high ABV, along with body of an DIPA itís hard to hide that?

this used to be my favorite DIPA. I saw a fresh bottle and figure weíd have another run past each other. Nose is nice bready malts and tropical fruits....nice. Taste is very balanced but the hops donít live up to my memory of this beer. Sticky malt finish with the hops fading away too quickly for me. Over-all just a very good balanced big DIPA. Thereís so much good stuff other there now. But denogginizer earns itís straight up 4.

Bottle via trade. Medium amber with a large creamy off-white head. The aromaís actually pretty peppery. Dusty countryside, plenty of grass. Moderate lemon sherbet and caramel-dipped mango fruit leather sweetness. Surprisingly smooth for a beer touching 10%. Slight heat, caramel and tree bark. Peppered flowers and orange peel. Moderately bitter finish. Oily, but not overly so. Crisp carbonation keeps things relatively light on the palate. Overall, quite good. The distinct peppery flavors set this apart from most IIPAs Iíve tried.

Bottle. The look is clear, amber copper colored, and a decent head. The smell is fruits, hops, pine, mango, and great. The taste is hops, pine, tropical fruits, gum, grassy, and melon.

Dark amber coloured brew. Hoppy, caramel and spices. Not bad at all. Maybe just a bit to simple to be with the real big players.

Bottle, Beer Moth, Manchester. Dark amber pour with a decent off-white head. Nose was fragrant hop aplenty, booze, citrus and sweet malts. Flavour ploughed a similar furrow with robust hop bitterness and quite prominent alcohol. Overall the hops on show here are terrific and this is a very tasty DIPA. Liking all the output Iíve tasted from the Drakeís stable very much.

A pretty good Imperial IPA. It has a nice floral nose, pours with a rich amber color and a nice puffy head. Lacing is decent, but the mouthfeel is great with this beer. The high alcohol gives the beer a sweet finish, a little sweeter than I prefer and one that has been better hidden in some other high alcohol IPAs ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled 2/05/14. Hazy and glowing yellow/orange pour with a froth of white foam. Sharp pine, hop bitterness, and a noticebly sweet malt backbone in the aroma. Taste is resinous pine and focused hop bitterness over a sweet and bready malt backbone. Somewhat coating mouthfeel. Solid IIPA.

22 Oz Bottle. The beer pours to a deep amber orange color mostly clear with a very thick white head. The aroma has notes of citrus pine resin some caramel. The taste also has strong such as hop notes that are very bitter upfront taste followed by a smooth finish. Overall an excellent DIPA. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
