On draft at the Barrel House. It pours clear amber with an off white head. The aroma has lots of hard candy with cherry, plum and caramel. The flavor is nice. Lots of cherry again with some caramel and a toasty, alcoholic finish. BIg body with decent bitterness. Really good. Not sweet, but great flavor and balance.

Draft. Rich amber beer with a dark cream head. Malt aroma. Caramel/toffee flavor with light marshmallows. Medium bodied. Toffee/caramel lingers with brown sigar and backing hops.

Shared at Slutfest 3, Richmond, VA, 4/21/12. Pours a clear copper color with a thin frothy tan head. Good head retention. Aroma of herbal hops and toffee malts. The taste is bitter herbal hops, toffee, and crackery pale malts. Medium bodied.

Pours a dark amber, maybe mahogany, color with an off-white head. A pleasant chocolate aroma along with lots of rich toffee and caramel. There is a hint of vanilla in the background and some toasted malt. Just a hint of alcohol, too. The flavor is not quite as robust as you might expect, but it is still very good. Heavy on the caramel and toffee with a hint of dark fruit and chocolate. Mild vanilla and alcohol notes as well.

On tap at Beer Rev with my significant other (not her favorite so I had the vast majority of this pour). Pours with a deep amber hue, mostly clear. Small tan head, mild alcohol lace. Aromas are fruity, lots of melanoidins, some spicy notes, caramel, bready. Tons of malt overall, but not much else. Flavors are pretty much bone dry. Thin, but malty with a lot of alcohol. Bready, with mild caramel. Malt with very little complexity or anything else. Thin, alcohol, low-to-medium carbonation. Warming. Nice malt, but thin and lacking anything else.

Pours copper brown with a finger thick tcream head. Full nose with caramel, toffee and heat. Caramel, brown sugar, toffee and a significant hop profile leading to pronounced bitterness in the mid palate to finish.
