COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A big, malty beast of a beer that exemplifies the way we roll here at Drake’s. Two-row malt is blended with Chocolate malt, roasted barley, and dark Crystal malts to make up the grist. Only one hop addition, Columbus, is added for bittering, allowing the abundance of malt in this beer to shine through. Enjoy the dense brownish head, the silky maltiness, and flavors of licorice, coffee and chocolate, rounded out with a slightly dry finish. here’s to those who don’t fear the mighty!

Pours black with a tan head. Aroma is sweet chocolate. Medium/full body, with an earthy oat taste. Finishes with a slight hop balance.

Pours like motor oil, smells like chocolate fudge, tastes of bitter dark chocolate. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

This dark-brown/black colored brew has a medium-brown colored head and an aroma that’s sweet, slightly chocolaty, and lightly toasted. In the mouth, the body is light for the style and the flavor is malty and almost sweet. Eh... really, there’s not much to say about this beer. It’s actually a little plain and, well, almost boring. But still good. Does that make any sense?

A good stout. Pours a thick black with a brown head. Smells nutty. Taste is vanilla, nuttiness, and some hops. Slight hoppy aftertaste. Not bad! Had in the bottle. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

nutty, roasty, malty aroma. nice frothy tan colored head. flavor is very malty with good bitterness and minimal hopping. nice medium/full bodied, carbonation on the medium side. has some zing to it. only bittersweet, not sugary. hard to complain about, textbook example of a good impy stout

Bottle from a trade with cbkschubert. Pours dark brown/black color with library brown head. Aromas of chocolate and roasted malts. Milk chocolate and dark roasted malt flavors with moderate bitterness. Full body with minimal carbonation and a creamy mouthfeel. Thanks Craig.

Bottle, deep brown black color, terrific brown head with lacing. Bittersweet chocolate, like a brownie, and some dark fruit on the nose. Likewise, chocolate is the obvious taste note, a bit of smokiness, coffee, and some sort of creamy sweetness.

Tap. Pours opaque pitch black with a medium brown head that diminishes quickly but leaves great lacing. Aroma is dark roasted malt, coffee, dark chocolate and a bit of soy sauce. Flavor is the same, rich and full bodied, lightly sweet, medium bitter.

Solid stout. Sharp and heavy mouthfeel. Somewhat bitter with lots of roasted malt and some chocolate/coffee notes.
