A big, malty beast of a beer that exemplifies the way we roll here at Drake’s. Two-row malt is blended with Chocolate malt, roasted barley, and dark Crystal malts to make up the grist. Only one hop addition, Columbus, is added for bittering, allowing the abundance of malt in this beer to shine through. Enjoy the dense brownish head, the silky maltiness, and flavors of licorice, coffee and chocolate, rounded out with a slightly dry finish. here’s to those who don’t fear the mighty!

Mighty fine Imp Stout. Nice hoppage in the nose, yet a bittersweetness in flavor. Palate is alive with chocolate, coffee and malted notes. Finishes clean, and goes down better than any Dark Lord ever could.

Pours dark and opaque. Flavors are nutty and malty with notes of smoke, molasses and cherries. Very good and powerful - love this stuff! ON SECOND ANALYSIS: This stuff is nectar, and I am wondering how Dark Lord will compare against it. It’s nuttiness leaves you with almost an oily feeling on your tongue - but it’s like sesame oil. Very yummy.

Bottle thanks to Matt. Pours a dark brown with beige head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is roast, cocoa bean, chocolate, and licorice. Slick mouthfeel with strong roast, dark chocolate with lingering dry finish. Good

Solid black appearance with a nice brownish head that lingered and laced a bit. Aroma was a bit underwhelming, but it had a nice chocolatey taste with some hop bitterness as well. Pretty tasty.

Edit. Selvästi lämmettyään suutuntuma on intensiivisempi ja alkoholi lämmittää enemmän. Muuttuu siis hivenen parempaan päin. Lievästä vetisyydestä huolimatta arvosanojen korotus!

On tap at the brewery. Pours black with a beige head. Aroma of roasted malts, dark chocolate and coffee, some light notes of dark fruits, some dough, and light bitterness. Flavor the same. Smooth texture. A solid imperial stout.

From a bottle at Zeebra II. Totally black pour, with a s mall dark brown head. A thin layer of foam left on the surface and thin lacing on the glass. Light aroma of milky chocolate, a bit of cold coffee as well, oats. Taste is nicely bitter with roasted malts, cold coffee, oats. Medium body with low carbonation, nicely dry on the palate. Overall a tasty beer, honest in what it offers.
