Mighty fine Imp Stout. Nice hoppage in the nose, yet a bittersweetness in flavor. Palate is alive with chocolate, coffee and malted notes. Finishes clean, and goes down better than any Dark Lord ever could.
Earlier Rating: 2/22/2008 Total Score: 4.3
Pours dark and opaque. Flavors are nutty and malty with notes of smoke, molasses and cherries. Very good and powerful - love this stuff! ON SECOND ANALYSIS: This stuff is nectar, and I am wondering how Dark Lord will compare against it. Itís nuttiness leaves you with almost an oily feeling on your tongue - but itís like sesame oil. Very yummy.
