Deep brown pour with a thin dark tan head. Full, chocolate and vinous fruit nose and flavor. Full mouthfeel and dry finish.

On draft at Beer Rev. It pours dark brown with a brown head. The aroma is dark and roasted with some hints of tart berries. The flavor is nice if a bit solventy with some strong notes of blackberries and alcohol. The roast comes in a bit in the finish. Not bad, just lacks the punchy flavor you’d expect from a brandy barrel aged impy stout.

Draft. ABV listed as 10.5% and said Bourbon Barrel aged, but tastes more like Brandy. Black beer with a thin dark tan head. Acetic/sour aroma with dark fruit and light brandy. Sour/acetic flavor with dark fruit and light brandy/bourbon. Medium bodied. Sour/acetic notes linger with dark fruit, light dark malts, and light barrel notes.

A - Served a dark reddish color with a finger of red-tan head atop. The head faded down fairly quickly leaving behind lots of lacing on the glass.
S - The aroma is a mix of equal parts boozy Brandy and rich roasted sweet caramel malts. There is also just a bit of apple mixed in.
T - Starts off with some Brandy and apple flavors followed by the sweet roasted caramel malts. Well balanced right off the bat. Through the middle, the caramel malts get a bit stronger and a bit of booze flavor kicks in. The finish is a nice mix of Brandy and caramel malts with just a bit of chocolate joining in.
M - Medium-full bodied with moderate carbonation. Felt smooth and fairly lively on the tongue. The finish is a mix of sweet and boozy elements.
D - Very drinkable. The balance here of Imperial Stout flavors and the contributions from the Brandy barrel aging is quite good.
