COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
We leave the yeast in our authentic Bavarian-style wheat beer to give it a cloudy appearance and creamy texture. This spicy, fruity beer has hints of clove and banana and is crafted for easy drinking.

12oz bottle. Rating #70. Nice hefe, picking up some subtle banana, very ckean and well done, tasty stuff. (2118)

A clove accented hefe with an earthy bitterness in the finish. Well balanced but lacking any vibrant banana notes. Full bodied with prickly carbonation.

As a fan of Hefes, I don’t really enjoy this beer. Overall, it seems weak in flavor and aroma. Plus it has a weird aftertaste that I can’t really describe in words.

Pours slight hazy golden with a thin white head. Nose and flavor are banana, grain and light malt. Dry finish.

I suspect that I got a bad batch because there is almost no foam on top of this hefe. The color is pale golden and clear. Aroma is nice; bready and a bit fruity, just a hint of orange and clove. Flavor is flat and funky. Not good, but it’s not disgusting either. Just boring. Overall, this is a disappointment, but I think it has potential.

Let this warm a bit out of the fridge. Poured with an absolutely beautiful, huge, foamy, fluffy, frothy, billowy, off white head that soon settled down and some lace. Color is cloudy amber with a few tiny bubble trails. Aroma is heavy yeast bitter and a little banana, spice, malt. Flavor is quite dry and some citrus, and yeast bitter, carbonic tang. Ok body and carbonation. Finish is like flavor and average length. Missing a key Bavarian sweetness to be bettter.

Way under rated for an American Hefe. It doesn’t have some of the refined characteristics of a German Hefe like the super creamy clean full flavor that they have. This is a damn tasty Hefe and I want more. It has that country yeasty appeal that you look for in a Hefeweizen. I have to try this and Sierra Kellerweis side by side to pick a winner.

Major flaws in the yeast taste, odd malt. A decent beer if you don’t pay attention. The aftertaste is neutral. Easy to drink more, but no reason to order more.

Serviceable hefe. This isn’t a great version, but it’s easy to drink and didn’t have any real off-notes, so who am I to complain? Light but definite lemon in the aroma. Some banana bread and wheat spice, but it could be more assertive. Flavor is lightly sweet. Again, kinda underwhelming in intensity but still good. Feel was also a bit watery, though there may have been other factors involved. I’ll definitely try this beer again (mostly because there were some service issues - super chilled glass, lemon slice, no head - I mended things as best I could, but I’ll be back to you Drake’s Hefe).

Sampled at the Bistro IPA fest... yeah thats right. I was poured this by mistake when ordering an IPA. Needless to say I was very confused for a moment. It pours a cloudy yellow color with a white head. The aroma is more like a Belgian wit with citrus lemon and vanilla spice. The flavor is similar wit ha citrus peel and bready finish. This was actually a nice departure from the hop onslaught that occurred the rest of the day, but I’m a Drakes homer.
