Drake’s winter offering is a deep orange monster that is loosely filtered to keep the integrity of the malt & hops intact. Equal amounts of American two row and English pale are combined with two types of Munich malt, and balanced with Chinook, Cascade & Amarillo hops. Enjoy the massive aroma and flavor of this beer. Available January - March.

Editor’s Note: Please observe the ABV and color of the label. This entry is for the 9.3% DIPA. Previous to 2016, the label had a white background. In 2016, the label is green.

Bottle. The look is decent off white head, peach skin colored. The smell is great, fruit, peachy, mango, really nice hop aromas. The taste is hoppy, fruits, nice bite but not harsh. Well brewed.

Pours a hazy orange with an off-white head and lacing. It has a great aroma of pine and some citrus with a flavor that's resin and citrus with a strong malt backbone and bittersweet, syrupy finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Nice hazy orange gold with thick lasting head. Very light hoppy smells. A grainy hoppyness The bitter hits a little dirty. Fades nice but the after taste is left a little clumsy bitter.

UPDATED: MAR 22, 2014 22oz bomber . The beer pours to a medium golden color with a thick white head. The aroma has pine, grapefruit, & some floral notes. The taste was very smooth with a nice hop kick but not too bitter. Flavor was very good but seemed slightly subdued to me for a DIPA. Overall a very good beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottle. Shiny amber, quite still. Head is thin but firm. There’s a firm resinous aroma. And it drinks with a viscous feel, an aggressive woodsy bite and tart citric finish. (#5471, 3/20/2014)

Bottle from Craftshack. Pours a clean golden orange with bubbly white head and seafoam lace. Nose of citrus, caramel, peach, pine. Sweet upfront, mild bitterness, pretty dry finish. Tasty

Bottle thanks to Jason for sharing. Pours a clear orange-gold with a medium sized head that fades to a ring and leaves a little lacing. Aroma is packed with dank and citrusy hops. Getting grapefruit, grapes, olive oil, and wet leaves. Tastes like oily hop leaves and grapefruit mostly. Some sweet malt and light tropical fruit as well. Solid DIPA but doesn’t seem to warrant the hype around it.
