COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Drake’s winter offering is a deep orange monster that is loosely filtered to keep the integrity of the malt & hops intact. Equal amounts of American two row and English pale are combined with two types of Munich malt, and balanced with Chinook, Cascade & Amarillo hops. Enjoy the massive aroma and flavor of this beer. Available January - March.

Deep orange with very nice lacing. Aromas of pine, orange peel and sweet malts. Big citrus and floral aromas. It smell very balanced between hops and malts, but at the same time you can choose what side you want to jump out of the glass. Taste is big hops. The hop bite on this is huge. It feels like hop acid on the tongue. But again balanced with sweet malt and a herbal grassy bitterness that hangs around in the aftertaste along with that hop and alcohol sting. It reminds me of Hop 15 from Port Brewing in the in your face hop syrup way, but this seems a little more refined. Drakes does it again with another great IPA. If you’re in the mood for a strong but classy IPA, look no further. Pros: Big aroma and taste with balance, value ($6.50 for the 22oz) Cons: None.

Bomber poured into pint glass. This is a huge beer! Ginormous aroma that is slightly sweet and slightly aromatic. Dark orange, gorgeous looking beer, I wonder why more DIPA are not orange like this? Great taste that is bitter and sweet at the same time. Great citrusy flavors and a fantastic malt balance. It is a Hop Bomb for sure, but it is balanced for my palate. I might need to redrink and rerate this again, but as of now, I put this in my upper quadrant of all time favorite DIPA! Great beer Drakes! I had Hop Salad from them a long time ago and wonder if this is the next recreation of that?

pours dark orange with a two finger pillowy head. Tons of citrus and pine aroma, with hints of lemon, grass and slight grapefruit. Very smooth taste, bitter hop finish, but lots of peach, citrus and grapefruit in the middle. It hides the 9.3% very well. Amazing beer, I’m very impressed.

Poured into a shaker glass, this is the first time I’ve noticed dipa should be in a Tulip glass. Oh well, pours slightly cloudy. Light head and lacing. Aroma is great! Citrus, tropical, maybe peaches as I heard in other ratings. Flavour is similar. Palate is thick, but not as sticky as o others. Very tasty and the alcohol is not noticed at all, very dangerous!

Maridada amb un llobarro amb espàrrecs i citrics. Perfecte. Tant pel maridatge, com per la cervesa. Llupoladament amarga i llarga i refrescant. I un punt de textura cremosa que li dóna l’alchol molt ben integrat. Molt bona. S’haurà de repetir.

Appearance: Dull, caramel color. Nice 1.5 finger head. Aroma: Huge citrus on the nose, tropical fruit but balanced really well by sweet caramel-breadiness. Taste: Huge hop punch in the mouth out of the gate, chased by a nice malt breadiness. This is a huge, tongue-scraping bitter DIPA, but it’s nicely balanced by the malt bill. Mouthfeel: Dry, sticky sugar finish. Medium mouthfeel Overall: I feel this is a REALLY well-balanced DIPA. You get the really nice citrusy-pine on the nose and palate, but it’s really nicely balanced by what I have to believe is a significant malt bill. I’d drink this one every time.

Outstanding nose of citrus & hops. Pours a rich golden orange with a nice creamy head. Fantastic DIPA flavor that lasts longer into the finish. One of my favorite DIPA’s of 2012.

Aroma of fresh and juicy hops jump out of the glass and hit you so nicely! Citrus, spicy hops everywhere! Flavor is juicy, just enough malt and the hops. What a well done brew!
