COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A big, malty beast of a beer that exemplifies the way we roll here at Drake’s. Two-row malt is blended with Chocolate malt, roasted barley, and dark Crystal malts to make up the grist. Only one hop addition, Columbus, is added for bittering, allowing the abundance of malt in this beer to shine through. Enjoy the dense brownish head, the silky maltiness, and flavors of licorice, coffee and chocolate, rounded out with a slightly dry finish. here’s to those who don’t fear the mighty!

65 cl bottle @ home, no BBE info
Aroma has lots of sweetish cocoa powder and some chocolate. Flavour has cocoa and some chocolate. Alcohol in the finish. Palate has some stinging alcohol. Reminds me of Slottskällans Imperial Stout with all that cocoa.

650 ml bottle.
Pours a pitch black colour with a reddish brown head. Aroma of strong cacao, coffee, roasted malts and light tar. Flavour of roasted malts, rye, cacao, tar, coffee and some chocolate cookie. Light vanilla notes. Full bodied, thick mouthfeel and dry, roasted finish with cacao. Nicely balanced, although it is a bit rough. Would love to taste the barrel aged version.

Black with brown thin head. Aroma of chocolate fudge and cinnamon. Robust roasted malt profile with notes of toasted caramel. Smooth but complex palate. Alcohol is well masked. Subtle hop finish rounds out the maltiness.

Solid black color with little to no head. Roasted coffee and malt aroma. Nice roasted caramel malit at the end. A bit too flat, maybe just got a bad bottle.

651mL. Dr Dre’s stout of choice. Pours deeper brune with a larger, rocky, sheen mocha head with complete 360 lace. Nose is dark chocolate mousse, mild chili pepper laden chocolate, sweet chocolate milk, fairly muted wild mild amaretto and cinnamon. Taste is silky, mildly warming with Godiva Liquor, big cocoa powder getting gritty and earthy, overall fully bitter. Palate is full, thick, nicely silky. Really solid for style. Palate is just a bit too gritty for me with mild lemon tinge. Better than many super hyped imperial stouts. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bomber into a pint glass. Color was black with a brown purpleish haze. About a finger of head. Brown purpleish lacing on the top. Minimal film on the sides. Smelled fairly malty, in order coffee, dark chocolate, caramel and toffee. Light citrus hops in there as well. Good balance. Tasted coffee malts up front, followed by a rich dark chocolate. Surprisingly a bitter finish. Can definitely taste the alcohol. Full body. Creamy texture. Average-lively (above average) carbonation. Not as bitter a finish as the taste, more of a smooth long finish. Pretty good beer overall. Lately been digging the Russian Imperial Stouts.
