3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
A thin head on a pitch black colored body. The aroma is boozy and burnt wood. Smells like darkness. The taste is roasted and burnt malt with a good dry"ness" to it. The finish has a tingling of alcohol. The texture is soft, but thick with low to moderate carbonation. It’s a fine enough imperial stout with a good profile.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma brings out dense roasted malt and dry cocoa. Flavour brings out dry cocoa powder, followed by roasted malt, and a touch of coffee. Very dry and roasty, with a very full body. Exceedingly highly drinkable for an impie stout, with a cocoa powdery and roasted palate. Awesome stuff.

Bottle. Dark brown pour with a mocha head. Mild roasted malt aromas. Bitter roasted malts, bakersí chocolate, and possibly an infection due to the sour notes. Decent body and mouthfeel.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle from 16 Tons Taphouse. Pours very dark, slight tan head. Rich, roasty nose, dark chocolate, slight coffee, very appealing with maybe a hint of nuttiness as well. Body is rich and well balanced, some creaminess, some roasty notes as well. Slight coffee taste in finish, which is maybe lacking compared to the rest of the beer, but really nice overall.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle:   Nearly black, deep cola hued edges, small to moderate frothy beige head, spotty lacing.   Pale graham cracker on the nose, softer roasted malts, faint dark/unsweetened chocolate.   Similar tongue, roasty, soft hop, a bit ashy but no campfire.   Has elements of bittersweet chocolate and dark pitted fruit, but they arenít sweet.   This is one of those unsweetened Imperial Stouts.   Thankfully its not overhopped, or else it would be unsweet and overly bitter.   Seems balanced, but could use some sweetness.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Clean finish, lingering ash and roastiness.   Decent, but wished it were a touch sweeter with perhaps a bit more viscous body.
