3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle shared by alexadad06. Poured a black color with an average frothy brown head that mostly lasted with good lacing. Moderate toasted malty, nuts and chocolate aroma. Medium to full body with a smooth texture. Solid balanced roasted flavor with a medium bittersweet finish of moderate duration. Good complex brew.

from Erzbierschof - black beer yet clear with a modest beige foam left; roasted aroma of black chocolate, walnuts and black cherries; full-bodied, some malt sweetness and light thick palate; a decent bitterness and long roasted chocolatey notes along with hints of ashes and vanilla in the finish

Pitch black. Creamy espresso head. Roast bomb with ashy charcoal and chocolate. Taste is even better. Great profile that would taste great in a barrel. Roast chocolates, coffee, creamy vanilla and spice of rye and pepper. Easy to drink with just a minor hint of booze

Whats with the high ratings? Acrid, watery, slightly acidic, old dairy. Odd and not in a good or interesting way. Move along.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle probably well under a year old. Pours black with tan fleeting head and lace. Aroma is big and bitter sweet roast, nuts, and licorice. Flavor follows suit with well balanced chocolate and light raisin sweetness with heavier roast and hop bitterness than I would expect for 40 IBU. Feel is lively and cooling with a long roast linger and relatively light body. Iím loving this classic and not too aggressive take on an imperial stout. Kind of an every day imperial stout of very high quality.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pitch black syrupy pour with small tan head. Chocolate and Coffee nose and the roasted malts come through real nice. This is one inviting aroma! Taste is pretty much similar to the smell and a nice sweet aftertaste. Awesome thick and creamy mouthfeel with not too much carbo. Fantastic imperial stout. Cool to have found this in a belgian beer store. Highly recommended!
